I really enjoyed my stay here!! Not only is the cottage full of character and cozy, the property is really awesome. A mile walk to the beach and close to town, the perfect way to enjoy Santa Cruz! Highly recommend
My girlfriend and I live in the next door cottage on the property and absolutely love it. This property is one of a kind, quiet and secluded but still within walking or biking distance to the store, gym, beach, harbor and so on and so on. Just driving down the driveway transports you to another world even though its right in the middle of town. Just overall a super relaxing place to call home.
I have genuinely loved living here! Amy and Karl are amazing landlords- very attentive, accommodating, helpful and friendly. I cannot overstate what a magical oasis this spot is- right next to Arana Gulch, but quiet and green everywhere. The house is beautiful, peaceful, and immersed in nature. The kitchen is top of the line and a joy to cook in. The house also gets great light throughout the day with east, west, and south facing windows. High quality furniture, appliances, art, etc. There's a nice sense of community amongst all the tenants/people on the property. There's also a huge, private back patio that you can get to from every room in the house! I think this is a highly unique spot and such a treasure.
This is easily one of my favorite places I've ever lived. The home is so well taken care of, the grounds are stunning, and Karl & Amy are the best landlords I've had. They actually care about me as a person and always take time to chat when we are out on the grounds at the same time. My friends who are Santa Cruz locals always tell me how lucky I am to have found this place! Renting in SC can be tough. The dogs, Max and Rio, are so friendly and come over for pets when I'm out for a walk. The location is fantastic. It's gated, so it's secure, and the driveway makes for a nice, short walk if you want to get out and about a bit. The walking trail just outside of the gate is beautiful and the beach is just over a mile away. It's a lovely walk or a very quick bike ride. The beach it leads to isn't very crowded because parking is difficult for it, so you get a bit more space. I cannot recommend this place or these landlords highly enough!
Youll feel like youre in the rain forest, stepping outside to the sound of birds or falling asleep to the sound of coyotes, yet youre close to everything! -Walking distance to the harbor, restaurants, pharmacy, and beaches. -Long driveway and secluded from the city. -Private/shared access to walking path and bike path in Arana reserve. -Minutes from Dominican Hospital, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Hwy. 1, and downtown. -Short commute to Silicon Valley. With privacy and proximity to everything, you wont find another gem like this!
