Private Apartment Near Downtown Portland

Great location, safe with welcoming and accommodating family. The house and neighborhood is on a quiet, beautiful street and close to great restaurants and attractions. They greeted me with a fresh baked loaf of bread, and even offered to walk my giant silly dog while I was working. M and E made every effort to make my stay comfortable and pleasant, and made me feel less lonely being so far from home during the holidays. Id stay longer if I could.

The best mark of a place is would you stay there again? I can say with absolute certainty that we DEFINITELY would. M and E are so kind and welcoming, so enjoyable to chat with, and overall some of the coolest people Ive ever met via FF! The unit was nicely divided into the sleeping and living areas, even though it may seem a bit odd via the photos. The bed and couch are comfortable, Im a big fan of the chairs! Fridge location took getting used to, but we did! The temps here in the summer, even throughout a heat wave, were fantastic and it always felt comfortable. The neighborhood is nice to walk around, and its got quick access to Broadway, which has a great bakery, a thai place, and even a convenient 7/11. Its also close (5 min drive) to a supermarket and a market. My husband and I had our dog with us, who unfortunately has stranger trauma so she is a bit barky, but they were so patient with her and we appreciated that so much. Staying here was the best decision!

This is a great spot, especially if you work in healthcare, have odd hours, and want to feel at home! M and E are great hosts. They are responsive, kind and available to answer any questions during your stay. On multiple occasions, they have worked tirelessly to give me the best possible experience - including home cooked meals, making sure it's quiet when I'm sleeping during the day on night shift, and inviting me to join them on Christmas when my flight home was cancelled. Not to mention, the hot tub! That has been such a perk during my year-long stay here in Portland. And the location is amazing. Close to food, cafes, groceries, trails - no complaints. Things to know - there's no oven, but I haven't missed it! And M has offered many times to let me use the oven upstairs. There aren't any windows in the bedroom, but this actually worked out very well for me on night shift. Plus the living room has a big window and I spend most of my time in there during the day.

M and family were such great hosts. They were always super helpful, communicative and kind. The house is located in a peaceful neighborhood with very friendly neighbors and central to lots of great bars/restaurants. The apartment had everything I needed plus off street parking which is awesome to have in Portland. I stayed for 2 contracts working in both Vancouver and Portland, and the home was an easy commute to both hospitals. Overall, it was a perfect home away from home and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for housing in Portland. Thanks!

This is an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Located in a delightful little neighborhood with lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. The homeowners are very respectful of your privacy but at the same time extremely helpful and a pleasure to be around. The space has a private entrance with key less entry, it has everything you need for your stay.

Clean, comfortable and great location. Hosts were very helpful and easy to get along with. I stayed here while doing home health for Kaiser Permanente. Good central location for work and for exploring Portland. Couldn't have asked for anything better for my first rental on this website! Highly recommend staying here!

This is a perfect spot to commute to any Portland or Vancouver hospital. I stayed here with my partner, we don't necessarily travel light, but the owners were quite accommodating with giving us extra space. The space had an efficiency feel, since the kitchen area is right next too the bedroom, however there was a full fridge and additional areas for things in the hall. All amenities were included and everything was in perfect working order. If not it was replaced immediately. The couple who own the place live right upstairs and are super approachable and just genuine souls. Quite neighborhood
