I live here full time now that I am retired. I rent 2 rooms out in my home. The first set of photos here, (with the red wall) is of the smaller of the two rooms. The bedroom is approximately 14' x 14' with both a high 14 ft ceiling in half the room and a regular 8 ft high ceiling in the other half. MM was a great person to live with and to work out all the details required when looking for a place through furnished finder. Her home was very clean and well furnished and I had everything I needed during my stay. She was very easy to communicate with and always made sure that any potential issues were resolved before they got out of hand. I have absolutely no complaints about my time living in her space and I appreciate her opening up her home to me and so many others.

Grab this one while its available! Excellent short term rental, well equipped, conveniently located with easy access to highways, yet you can get places on side streets too. Can walk to Carbonera and Branciforte/DeLaveaga. Quiet and private, yet social when you desire that. Never slept more soundly. Beautiful bathroom and loft is a huge bonus! Bright and airy common areas, plus extensive outdoor space. Wish I could have stayed longer.

This person is an easy going & kind hearted person. Always aware of other peoples needs with a generous spirit. Ready to participate or to sit back and let the flow of the house, flow. I think there was an underlying ability to see around corners and read minds because this person was invisible at times and formidable presence at other times. I throughly enjoy the 1 month stay. Wish it could have been longer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. The house is very relaxing and has a nice garden. The room had a nice private shower with tub. The host was great company and shared some tips about the town. I would stay here again if I ever visit Santa Cruz again. Easy access to the freeway.

The person who wrote the above review is himself a relaxed and engaging person who also loved to garden. He is so easy to talk to and often our conversations turned to gardening and nature. So it was natural that we spent a coupe of days working on a garden project. He is very knowledgeable of many garden issues. What a kind hearted person, also! I thoroughly enjoyed his 5 week stay at my place and hope he will visit Santa Cruz once again and perhaps stay here again.

    I am retired now after working as a Flight Attendant for 43 years. I am enjoying being home these days and working in the garden though I also do part time caregiving for a couple of families. I have 1 indoor/outdoor cat who likes to be wherever I am in the daytime, (usually in the garden or in my own room) and nights he sleeps in my room with me to keep him safe. (This also helps keep the house clean of his fur and dander.) I am also an avid recycler and composter and I appreciate people who understand the importance of keeping waste to a minimum.
