Room for rent

This was my first experience using Furnished Finder and I had a very positive experience throughout my stay from October to December. I was able to efficiently confirm my plans in September to rent a room, and when the current tenant extended her stay for another week, the owner offered for me to stay in the more expensive room at no extra cost while she prepared the room for me. She was also very communicative with me regarding all parts of my stay, including other tenants and sharing the shower and kitchen, and ensured things were cleaned and/or repaired when needed. When I unfortunately tested positive for covid, I decided to stay with a friend (who also tested positive) out of caution, and I waited to return until my symptoms improved and I tested negative over a week later. She was very understanding and accommodating throughout this time and did what she could to help during my recovery and after my return.

E-mailed owner, to confirm the shower sharing situation, I explained that I am immunocompromised and due to my medications I should not share a bathroom, she replied, after October 26 you will not share a shower. I met her at her house, again she confirmed I would not share a shower or fridge and I would have a queen size bed, when I looked at the bathroom, I could not believe how DIRTY the tub/shower was! She said it would be cleaned, as well as the room I was renting, so I gave her a deposit. Everything she said was a lie, and the lady I ended up sharing a shower with got COVID and I was not informed until days after. This later led to a disagreement when I asked that I not share the shower because the other tenant was still coughing. L told me I was living in fear, I was fine, I explained to her that I have to be careful because of my medical condition, she went crazy.
