If you are looking for a charming, well-appointed space, this is the place. The kitchen has more to it than I anticipated from the listing, with an induction cooktop (I now want one for myself), a combo microwave oven, and a surprisingly serviceable small refrigerator. The host stocked the space with a thoughtful array of kitchen appliances and tools, so it feels like home. The bathroom is luxurious with plenty of cabinet and drawer storage, and a large walk-in shower with a shower seat. The garden entry is charming. I had a dog with me, and we loved our walks along the waterfront every morning. The space has been rearranged from the photos, making it even better, but without a closet so do ask if that's important. Finally, the host is as gracious and welcoming as you would hope to find. I'm delighted with my stay, and I hope you will be, too.

K is a wonderful host and was extremely accommodating during my stay. Any issues I had were promptly resolved and K is a very attentive host. The studio is very clean and has everything you need. It is in a great neighborhood and I would definitely stay here again!!

I stayed at this property for three months at the end of 2021 and it was a great experience from start to finish. The owner is super accommodating and even offered to wash my sheets for me should I need it. She offered me all the privacy I needed but made sure I felt at home and brought me baked goods and would leave them outside the door in a little package:) the studio is smaller in size but has everything you need, a really spacious closet, and a really nice big bathroom. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchenette was all I needed because I am not an avid cook but if you like to make every meal that is the only downside to this place. There is ample parking on the street and it is super safe and cute neighborhood. I would definitely recommend staying at this place for a short term fully furnished rental:)

Pros: The studio is newer construction and has a lovely view. The neighborhood feels safe. It isnt particularly quiet because of a major construction project down the block, but that is not the owners fault. Cons: I have to agree with T***. I do not believe the owner has the temperament to host strangers at her property. This was the most stressful renting experience I have ever had. I paid my rent in full (three months) and vacated 13 days early. This form does not provide enough room to describe all the difficult interactions we had. But even though the owner will no doubt respond to this review by blasting me for being irresponsible, I am submitting this review because I do feel responsible to warn potential renters. I hope the owner will decide to stop offering the room to "paying guests."

I cannot come up with enough kind things to say about Kerry & her adorable suite. I moved into her home in the middle of the pandemic & she was absolutely so kind, patient, accommodating, & so understanding of my situation with employment & the rapid changes. The suite is well organized, was pristinely cleaned, & had everything you needed. Anything you didn't have Kerry was so responsive in helping with obtaining. Easy to do laundry; I would just text her & match schedules & just bop on upstairs & run it. When we ran out of PPE at our clinic, Kerry even gave me an N95 mask she had from fire season to help me stay safe; PURE GOLD in April 2020. When my contract ended abruptly, I had to quarantine at the house for 2 weeks before I could make my trek back to Alabama. Kerry was so supportive & helped me fight the loneliness with socially distanced chats, her precious puppies, & happy surprises from her kitchen. The neighborhood is great & perfect for walks. Quick access to the interstate!

The harassment I dealt with living here was completely untenable. Before moving in I let the landlady know that my partner would be visiting from out of state a few times during my stay. She agreed. After his first visit she sent me a rude text about not having planned to rent to two people. During his second visit (a month later) she told me I would need to pay $15 per night if I had overnight guests. Every time I asked to have laundry access, there was some issue. She told me multiple times that I would need to wait for days since she had guests staying with her, suggested I just go to the laundromat, and only would tell me I could access laundry on days I had told her Id be at the hospital for 13 hours. When I reminded her that access to laundry was in the rental agreement, she suggested I move out if I didnt like it. Then on the FIRST of the month at 1:30 in the afternoon I received a message with a photo of an eviction notice on my door for nonpayment of rent

Unfortunately, this individual lacks self respect and respect for her animals and their needs. She left a dog alone without thought for the animals needs for 13 or more hours a day when she worked. The dog barked constantly. She let the cats outdoors after arriving and they were lost for a couple of days before rescued. Be watchful of her slipping in requests after the fact. While I agreed to laundry access, it was not based on instant demand. It was difficult for her to respect the need for a house quarantine during the time my daughter was visiting and also difficult for her to respect our community and state mandates for mask wearing. Her "partner" stayed for 12 nights on his first visit taking complete advantage of our lease agreement and I was not advised of further visits which were in violation of her lease agreement. After she was asked to leave she vandalized the property with animal feces, garbage and rotting food.

If you're looking for a short-term rental around Oakland, this is really the place to be! The area is super nice, quiet, plenty of street parking. Apartment itself is cozy and has everything you'd need with a kitchenette, comfy bed and spacious closet, great shower, and cute outside patio that gets lots of sun. I travel with my cat and he'd lounge out there all day if he could. Kerry is amazing and so, SO accommodating. Switched out linens on a whim, dropped off banana bread when she made a fresh batch, and has tons of suggestions of things to do/places to go in the area, even during the time of COVID. Got takeout margaritas one night but didn't have any ice and Kerry left a bowl on the patio (mindful of social distancing), seriously you cannot find a better host!! Sad to be leaving as my contract at the hospital nearby has ended, but glad someone else can come and enjoy this spot!
