We are transitioning from MN to Florida ourselves. We were lucking enough to purchase in this Port Charlotte area which is super quiet and friendly. So many parks within just a couple miles. Close to all shopping no matter if it for supplies or the great events in Punta Gorda or Englewood, and of course the beach! Great food all around.
