I stayed in Chelsea's Chapel for 5 months while working in the area. As other reviews say the house and grounds are beautiful, quiet and immaculately kept with any amenity one could need. The downtown area is within minutes of walking, and Florence itself is convenient to a larger area with lots of things to do. The owner is extremely nice and accommodating of requests. In short, its a perfect place to stay and highly recommended if you are ever in the area for a time.
Beautiful home, well decorated and fully furnished. Gardens are beautiful in the spring and summer. Loved sitting out on the big front porch. You have everything you could possibly need for your stay. Fran is absolutely wonderful and kind. My husband and I travel for work and anytime we are close to Florence we try and stay here. Pictures do not do the home justice, so much prettier in person. Our favorite home away from home!
My husband and I been spending our summers in the Canon City/Florence area for the last 5 years. We stayed at Chelsea's Chapel for July & August 2024 and we both agree that it is the best place we've ever stayed. The entire space is beautiful and the expansive gardens are fabulous. We could not have asked for a better experience or more accommodating hosts.
Chelseas Chapel was a beautiful place to stay. F was a delightful host. I was there for work but found many things to do on my days off. I will definitely call her if I go back that way. They gardens are relaxing and I felt at home in the house.
The unit is so cute and very well kept. It had everything a traveler could ask for in a furnished unit. The land lady is very kind as well.
About the landlord
Fran
Fran is a woman who works together with nurses and travelers on short-term and medium term rentals for Furnished Finders. Most tenants are nurses who stay an average of 90 days. Fran lives in a separate cottage on the premisis. Fran was Florence's "Citizen of the Year" and is very well-entrenched in a lot of Florence businesses, associations and volunteer activities. In fact, she is often called "The Queen of Florence" based on her extensive knowledge of what is going on in Florence at any given time of the year. During the spring and summer, you will find her out in her beautiful botanical gardens.
