Reviews
The lower perch is like a small, cozy cabin feel. It is not fancy or very modern. It is a unique lovely cozy feel. the views from the huge open angle windows is to live for. the quiet feeling is priceless. I actually enjoyed it so much, I extended my contract for 3 more months. The owner T, you could not ask for a better guy. T is very accommodating and caring. He wants people to love this place as much as he does, and I really do. I moved up to the upper perch in December, mostly for more room, my family were coming for a couple weeks. the upper perch is even better, the views are spectacular, the feel is fancier but with all the alure and coziness of the past. I could be happy here forever. the feel of the outside is like a scene out of a Scottish cabin scene from a novel. it makes you feel connected to nature, even when inside. the hiking and fishing here is beyond amazing. If your looking for city life this is not it, if you love nature, quiet and serenity, this is it.
If you're looking for a serene retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life, look no further than this beautiful house in the mountains by the river. From the moment we arrived, I was struck by the peaceful surroundings and stunning views. The house itself is spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. I particularly appreciated the fully equipped kitchen, which made cooking meals a breeze. And, as a dog owner, I was thrilled to find that the house has plenty of yard for our furry friend to run and play in. But the real highlight of this property is its location. Nestled in the mountains and just steps from the river, it's the perfect spot for nature lovers. I spent hours exploring the surrounding trails, taking in the fresh mountain air and enjoying the scenery. And when we wanted to relax, we simply sat on the porch and listened to the soothing sound of the river flowing by. One thing that really impressed us about this mountain house was the water pressure. Even though I was in a remote location, the shower had fantastic water pressure and provided a refreshing and invigorating experience after a day of working. It may seem like a small thing, but good water pressure can really make a difference in the quality of your stay. I was pleased to find that this property exceeded our expectations in this regard. In addition, the house is a short 30 minute drive from Medford. There are a few shops and restaurants in town. All in all, I had a wonderful stay at this mountain retreat and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home, T***!
I was lucky enough to call the Perch home for 6 months while on contract in Medford. I can honestly say I will never love a home more than this one. The Perch sits directly above a bend in the Rogue River and has near 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains - the pictures do not do it justice! I spent a good portion of my free time in the seating area by the windows watching fisherman and rafters work their way down the river. :) The home is very spacious (perfect size for myself, my husband and our 2 cats) and provides everything needed for a comfortable home-away-from-home experience. T is an excellent host; he was respectful of our space and privacy but communicative when needed. It is a 30 minute drive to any Medford area hospitals, but the commute proved well worth it for the views and experience living in such a beautiful and serene setting. It truly was a treat to come home every day. T- thank you again for sharing the Perch with us! We miss it!
Incredibly relaxing environment to go home to after my shifts in Medford. The view is beautiful and T is incredibly easy to work with! I was sad to have to leave.
