Private Ranch Cottage

We stayed for three months in the winter 2024-25. The ranch location made us feel like we were in the country, even though there were many restaurants and grocery stores etc. within a ten minute drive. Although we had worried we would be too far from Tucson proper, we had no trouble doing lots of activities downtown and near the University. Saguaro NP East was only a mile away and we hiked there a lot along with Sabino Canyon the Catalina Foothills. The house had everything we needed. The well fenced back patio with its mountain views was perfect for reading, watching the horses, and being entertained by the hummingbirds. We enjoyed catching glimpses of the coyotes and javelina while our dog was kept safe inside the fence. Heidi was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We even learned the difference between horses and mules!

I lived here from October to January with myself and my two dogs. We really enjoyed the home itself and the location. I was near everything I needed, and my commute to work was only about 25 minutes. I'm so glad I decided to house here my first time visiting Tucson. I felt like I got to truly enjoy the beauty and solitude of the desert. Heidi was also an amazing host. That played a big part in enjoying our stay! She truly went above and beyond to make sure that everything was just right with the house and she checked in on a regular basis. It was so nice to have a landlord, who was also truly neighborly. If we make it back around to Tucson , I'll definitely be checking in with Heidi to see if she has availability!

This beautiful ranch-style casita and surrounding property are really a one-of-a-kind experience- I highly recommend booking! I was blessed to stay for 6 weeks, and cant say enough about the amazing sunsets, perfect location for hiking and outdoor pursuits, and peaceful, well appointed accommodations with amazing indoor-outdoor spaces. Outside, you have a beautiful landscaped, fenced front yard, and out back you have a comfortable furnished patio great for sunset gazing and letting out your pups. Indoors, youre stocked with everything you need to be comfortable and the most amazingly perfect king-sized bed! H is a wonderful host, always friendly and quick to respond to any needs, and you will really enjoy meeting her, and chatting and seeing her horses and tortoise grazing in the nearby yards. If you have your own four-legged friends, H is an animal lover and so sweet and accommodating- shes created great, secure fenced areas for your pups to enjoy the scenery as well!

H is a phenomenal host! She is so friendly, and youll love her awesome animals along with your mountain views right out your back door! Patio is perfect for chilling and keeps you cool, and the area is very quiet, even during the day (Im a night-shifter, so my day-time sleep is important, and H is incredibly respectful of that!) The house is just a short drive from town, and everything in the house works great (especially the A/C for hot summer days!) Any issues we had were a top priority and fixed right away. We are so sad to be leaving! H and this little cottage are the absolute best!
