My contract got cancelled. This LL demanded and pressured me to sign a separate lease over a month in advance to secure" the room with UNSEEN. She also demanded I give her $250 to hold the room. Because she has so much interest" in this spot. Well: contract is cancelled, there's no response from her to kindly return my hold money"- she says if someone else books the room I'll return your money"? Maam. You said you have lots of interest. I'm done and over FF LL these days. Just call hotels and ask for a discount rate people! Much better than this, and you can cancel with no penalty!

Alex reached out to book our room. I said "we do a lease and deposit for all of our stays. If you would like to book, send me over your email and I'll send you the paperwork". She signed the lease and sent the deposit. I did have another request for the room while waiting for the deposit from Alex, but I let her know that I was holding the room for her. She then told me that her contract got cancelled. I told her we would return the deposit when we rebooked the room (which I was confident we would be able to do within a day or so). She immediately started messaging me erratically and sending so many cash app requests that I had to block her. She threatened to write bad reviews about myself and my listing in her traveling nurse facebook groups. Hotels in our area go for over $100 a night and don't allow pets. We charge less than $50 a night and are pet friendly. Unfortunately, since we are not a hotel, we can't afford to hold rooms for people that may never show up and have rooms go empty because contracts get cancelled. We simply hold the deposit until the room is rebooked and then return it. This is the first time I have had any type of negative interaction on Furnished Finder. I truly wish Alex the best and hope she was just having a bad day here.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jess's place. Check in was very easy, the apartment and room were clean, plenty of parking. I had everything I needed for my stay. Jess was a very attentive host, I highly recommend her place.
