The property is entirely managed by a family member of the property owners, two extremely sweet older folks. The property manager's behaviour is unprofessional at best, and erratic/disturbed. She does not keep organized records (and sometimes no records at all) and does not follow CA law regarding tenants' rights, belieing the fact that this rental situation is illegal. She plays fast and loose with her 'contracts' and near the end she was accusing me of plotting to hold the homeowners hostage and accusing me of intending to harm them, when all I had done was raise some concerns with the elderly homeowners over the course of living there, as well as given them freshly-cooked meals from my own table. As for the room, it has what you need. The homeowners raised their entire family in this house, and because you live so closely, you feel like you're intruding on that, a bit. Because of the close quarters there is very little privacy living in the room. The homeowners would be more than happy to lend you a tool from the garage or a utensil from the kitchen, it just may be too close of a living situation for some. Ex. The bed is visible through a large gap in the door from the hallway frequently used by the family and sometimes, leaving the bathroom (which is separate from the studio) late at night after taking a shower, I would accidentally run across the residents of the home. Parking is very difficult and the previous tenants had trouble with this to, but when I politely said that I didn't feel like this listing was accurate about parking, I received a vituperative response from the family member that manages the property. Due to the location and that the unit is located where it is not supposed to be a living space, the room is very loud/hot/cold. Neighborhood has lots of trash on the street and weird dudes hanging around, regularly saw drug users shooting up. Since you have to park a 20 minute to 30 minute walk away from the living space, it wasn't comfortable walking back at night. +a star because the kitchen is fully stocked

We are a quiet, older couple living in the upstairs portion of the house. We raised our family here and have lived here for over 50 years. We are partially retired, Mom works as a part-time cleaner for B&Bs so the house and your unit is immaculate. Dad repairs antique barber chairs. Our daughter in law helps us manage the property and you will initially speak with her.
