2 Bedroom Apartment Min from VCU

The apartment is nicely updated, but not very clean upon arrival (hairs everywhere in bathroom, fridge dirty, floors dirty). The neighborhood is not safe. Gunshots heard regularly, lots of police seen in and out. The biggest issue is noise. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything that happens in the apartment above. Every time someone walks around upstairs, it echoes loudly throughout the apartment. Every time music is played or tv is watched upstairs, you hear everything. And if the upstairs tenant is smoking weed (which happened regularly), it fills the apartment with the smell. There were several parties upstairs with dozens of people and loud music shaking the house until 2 or 3 in the morning. We brought our concerns to the landlord and nothing was done. We spent our last week in a hotel, because we couldnt stand the noise and weed anymore. I would not recommend this apartment to anyone, especially a travel nurse trying to stay somewhere safe and get some decent sleep.
