Lead is a historic gold mining town in the Northern Black Hills. It is next to the wild west town of Deadwood which has seen a resurgence since gaming was approved in the 1980s. From the deck of this home, you can see Terry Peak, South Dakota's premier ski area. The home is walking distance to downtown where you will find restaurants, bars, unique shopping and the Homestake Opera House.

Russ was so easy to work with. Comfortable bed, and spent time on the beautiful deck every day! Was there for several months and it felt like home. Russ asked several times if I needed anything, but also gave me privacy. 5 stars for sure!
This is one of the best apartments Ive stayed at since finding short-term rentals on FurnishedFinder. Its very comfortable, well-appointed and nicely decorated. It has all the comforts of home. The owner is generous, thoughtful and wants his rentals to be welcoming and functional. Hes very easy to work with. The apartment was very well stocked. I enjoyed my stay here very much.

I am interested in local history and enjoy showing friends and strangers the beauty of the Black Hills and other places of interest.
