I am retired from Abbott Laboratories and my husband is retired from United Airlines. We have two grown children and 2 grandchildren who do not live in the area. My family is from Highlands County and I am a 6th generation native Floridian. Later in life, my husband and I returned to live in my hometown of Avon Park. We owned the adjacent property to the apartments, and later purchased the apartments. In 2021, we sold the property next door to Villa Lotela. (My grandfather had built that home, which was our prior residence.) We downsized, and now live in a condo in Avon Park, so we are still close by.
