Spring Lake ( across County Rd E ), great for fishing, floating, or canoeing/kayaking. There's a public boat ramp 1/4 mile away, and in the middle of the lake is a public island for picnics. Spring Lake is a small, no-wake lake known for good northern, bass, and bluegill fishing. Larger lakes holding walleye, muskie and other northwoods species are just minutes away. Located near most things Hayward area has to offer.

Stayed here while our home was being prepared. Lovely, friendly owners. Full apartment with washer/dryer making feel like a private home. Deer and other wildlife right outside the sliding doors:-) Close to town for easy supplies but in a quiet woodland setting.
Beautiful property and excellent hosts. Close enough to Hayward to get what you need quickly but far enough away to listen to the silence. The space was quiet, clean, and had everything I needed. This is by far the best property I've stayed at. The peaceful lake is just the cherry on top! Don't pass up the opportunity to make this your home for a while.
Wonderful, quiet space with great outdoor surroundings. Owners were very friendly and accommodating.
