I had a situation with the owner. On the day I left she shorted me over 200 dollars from the deposit due to scratch marks on the front doorknob and mold in the bathroom. I was not made aware of the doorknob issue until the day I left. The scratch marks did not cause the doorknob not to work. I looked in the bathroom for the mold and did not find any. The other renter did the same and had the same outcome. When I tried to discuss this with her she got upset, asked me to leave, and threatened to shoot me if I ever show up again. I filed a police report on her because she threatened me with a gun. I would never recommend living here
Room was nice enough. Landlord did not do a written contract and only accepted cash. Be sure to explicitly discuss prorated rent if staying for a part of a month.
