Rest well in this bedroom with two very comfortable twin beds. 100% cotton sheets and embroidered pillowcases set you up for sweet dreams.
Select a book from the variety of tomes in the mini library in the bookcase. Unpack your clothes in this dresser and look at your bed hair before you head to the bathroom for repair work.
This room adjoins the twin bedroom. In the sitting room/office, a soft easy chair and hassock create a comfy spot to sit back and relax after a long day. Or sit at the drop leaf table, finish notes, and enjoy a cup of coffee from your personal Keurig on the large desk.
This is the desk in the second room, the sitting room/office. The large desk will accommodate your laptop and more. The drawer is stocked with paper clips, scotch tape, pens, pencils and a few other desk supplies.
Bathroom is stocked with a generous amount of bath linens, starter cleaning supplies and paper products.
A full shower completes the bathroom. Next to it stands a cupboard with more bath linens.
You can catch a quick breakfast with a bagel in the toaster oven and scramble an egg. Or take your time and cook up pancakes, oatmeal or whatever. Close the kitchen cabinet doors while you're here, as I apparently forgot to do so.
You can catch the news or make breakfast smoothie or do whatever you like to do in the kitchen. There are usually cookies in the strawberry cookie jar my mother made me in 1976. My children vow they will fight over it when I die but neither wants their great grandmother's monogrammed silver tea set. Go figure. Oh well.
With added leaves the table sits 8 comfortably.
The breakfast porch is a peaceful place for breakfast or morning coffee. Or lunch. Or dinner. Or anytime.
The back porch is everyone's favorite place to be. Sit there and listen to the birdsong, read, or just relax after a swim in the pool.
This is the east end of the 40 screened porch. It overlooks the pool. French doors lead to the dining room.
If you walk the yard you will see the pool and the back of the house. Before the big freeze, 70 citrus trees grew here. Only one hardy navel orange survived but I celebrate its hardiness.
The living room couch and loveseat are comfortable. The loveseat faces the fireplace. The windows overlook he pool.
For anyone who plays piano, the joy of having access to one is immeasurable. I hope someone will use it.
Sitting by the fire when there is the slightest chill in the air is a special pleasure.
The white mandevilla vine which climbs up the arbor gives a lovely contrast to the black metal.
This is the east driveway to the house. The electric gate adds extra security. The azaleas bloom anytime they want, usually in February or March.
Stroll around the yard, beginning at the west gate. These are the orchid azaleas in bloom. Now head toward the house.
After you pass through the little gate, you can sit under the oak tree and enjoy the peace and quiet. Sit your sweet tea and a book on the table.
Hydrangeas are finally blooming and growing after a long dry spell. They will be prettier as summer progresses.
The passion vine arbor leads to the pool. It needs to be trimmed more regularly but this thing is just so passionate!
More roses and crape myrtles grow beside the driveway. Most were propagated in the potting shed. The huge hedge to the right gives baskets of sweet Surinam cherries in late spring.

As you pass the potting shed, you will go by my husband's shed. His tractor, the golf cart and a utility bay are there, next to my clothes line. Then you will see more crape myrtle, propagated here. The huge hedge on the right is loaded with sweet Suriname cherries in late spring.
A reserved private parking spot is here in front of the garage, inside the fenced property.
These dogs are great protectors and love the residents. But you must be careful with your food. The white Great Pyrenees once ate an entire angel food cake from the counter which was to be taken that evening to my Bible study group. He had no remorse. And would do it again given the opportunity. But I love him. My perfectly behaved black and white girl, also Great Pyrenees mix, has been trying to teach him manners with only moderate success.

I am passionate about sewing and have been a Brother sewing Ambassador for many years, developing projects and writing tutorials for their blog, Stitching Sewcial.com. I've taught quilting, English smocking, and heirloom sewing around the world. My other passions are my family (2 fabulous grown children and 5 equally fabulous grandchildren), my faith and my church. I love to garden, I love my dogs, and I love my many friends all of which keep me busy.
