Trying to find an affordable room with a private bath in Chicago is almost near impossible. So when I came across Miguel's property, I jumped on it. And I've never been happier that I did. The house is an old 3 level church rectory that Miguel takes great pride down to the littlest of details. The neighborhood is a quiet one with the friendliest of neighbors. Just a block down the road is a huge park for whatever it is you enjoy. Miguel is a very personable and knowledgeable landlord. In my 4 and a 1/2 months stay, I became great friends with Miguel and his friends and family have all taken me in as one of theirs. But don't get me wrong if you are one that prefers more of your peace and solitude Miguel definitely will honor that. It's all up to you on how much interaction you would prefer. If I ever get another contract in Chicago, I know where I will be staying and even if I am just passing through the area. I will definitely be stopping in to say hi.

My boyfriend works contract 3 months at a time, and I do the leg work for finding housing. we came across Miguel and this listing, so we decided to give it a go. we couldn't be happier with our decision! over the 4 and 1/2 months that my boyfriend stayed with Miguel, they became friends and almost family. The house itself is in a up-and-coming neighborhood and is safe as well as close to the park. such a charming house with an interesting history, and the host is beyond fantastic! definitely worth your time because in our opinion this is a hidden gem for sure! when I came to visit Miguel was wonderful about knowing the city and even took us out sightseeing and exploring parts of the city. we will be back to visit as friends, and if My boyfriend ever gets placed in Chicago again we know where he will be staying!
