Such a great place! I loved the ambience and natural beauty!! Located close to the fun spots as well as essential stores. I will surely return again when I need more me time, with a good night sleep and relaxing atmosphere. I can get my work done!
Staying at Casa d'Oro was like a dream. It provided me with the quiet and solitude I needed to work on a major work project that required me to focus. Writing for hours at the desk in the office overlooking Lake George was inspirational and just what I needed to finish my project! The furnishings were in excellent condition, comfortable bed and bedding, all the kitchen supplies I needed, and was close enough to surrounding towns to get any groceries or supplies I needed. It is also only about half an hour to Saratoga Springs, the Vermont border, and only about 5-10 minutes into Lake George and Queensbury. I would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone in need of a short-term solution who wants peace and quiet while being close enough to conveniences. 5 STARS!
The house was ideal for my summer visit to the Adirondacks. I loved the central location for lake George and getting to the highway. Private & secluded was very nice. Also , was not a bad drive to the horse races in Saratoga . I will return for another visit in the future.

I am a retired academic. My home here is my pride and joy; I hope you will feel as comfortable in it as I do! It is like no other property that you have ever stayed in! Everything in my home has a story, and I have a dossier of its history. You are in the woods overlooking the lake, but down the road, you are on the interstate. All the conveniences are available to you 1 mile away. I would imagine that you are up here to embrace the winter sports as well!
