Almost a native! I have lived in Tucson since 1967, and I spent winters here for 3 years in a row before that. The Catalina mountains have several of my favorite places for roaming through nature. I believe in building sustainable communities and enjoy the challenge of retaining the character of older buildings while converting them into energy efficient homes. So far, I have set up rainwater harvesting, planted edible plants for residents, insulated attics, and use various shade techniques to work with the desert seasons.
