Several weeks ago, we hosted a webinar to share more information about Furnished Finder’s tools aimed at improving your rental experience from end-to-end. Check it out here:
As monthly rental landlords ourselves, we know how helpful it can be to have affordable and easy-to-use tools that make the renting process go more smoothly. To that end, we offer five key products to help make your lives easier: landlord insurance, tenant screening, custom leases, and online payments. Below is a high-level overview of these products and how to use them.
Landlord insurance
Landlord insurance protects you from financial losses related to your rental properties. This is different from homeowners' insurance, which is for owner-occupied properties. Landlord insurance covers property damage, liability protection, and lost rental income (if your property becomes uninhabitable due to a covered loss).
Furnished Finder partners with Steadily to offer fast and affordable landlord insurance. Get your free quote for monthly rental customized coverage here (opens in new tab).
Tenant screening
Tenant screening allows you to make educated decisions about who you want to rent your property. Furnished Finder partners with TransUnion to screen for criminal, credit, and eviction history. This process does not affect your potential tenant’s credit score. This service is free for landlords and affordable for tenants – the service costs a tenant $44.99 and each report is good for 60 days.

Custom leases
Furnished Finder offers fully customizable, state-specific leases. Incorporate your own policies and house rules into the document, such as move-in and move-out dates, additional fees and deposits, pet policies, and more. The tool also allows for online signatures, making it easier and more convenient to secure your next tenant.

Online payments
Allow your tenants to pay rent via credit card or ACH and save yourself the hassle of paper checks or Zelle and Venmo transactions. Online rent payments are completely free for the landlord and incur a small fee for tenants. Tenants appreciate the flexibility in payment options and the opportunity to earn credit card points, particularly if they are traveling for work and getting reimbursed.
