Furnished Finder makes it easy to find monthly rentals in Fort Myers. Compare listings by neighborhood, amenities, and availability—and connect with landlords directly, with no booking fees.
Fort Myers is the county seat of Lee County, Florida, and sits along the Caloosahatchee River in the southwestern part of the state. People who come for a furnished rental are usually here for a hospital assignment with the Lee Health system, project work tied to construction or tourism, or a winter stay. Others rent month to month while they look for permanent housing or decide whether to move to Florida full-time.
The metro covers a wide area. Downtown Fort Myers, called the River District, sits on the south bank of the river. McGregor Boulevard runs west from downtown toward Sanibel Island and Fort Myers Beach. Cape Coral is across the river to the northwest and connects to Fort Myers by three bridges: the Cape Coral Bridge, the Midpoint Memorial Bridge, and the Edison Bridge. Gateway, Estero, and Lehigh Acres are east and south of the city. Southwest Florida International Airport and Florida Gulf Coast University are both in that area. Most residents drive to get around.
The right neighborhood depends on why you are in town. Travel nurses tend to look in south Fort Myers, near the two main hospital campuses. Business travelers usually pick the River District or somewhere closer to the airport. Families look for space and schools and often end up in Gateway or Cape Coral. Winter residents pick areas closer to the Gulf. Listings span the metro, so you can filter by neighborhood, price, and amenities to match your stay. Since we don't charge booking fees, more of your budget goes toward your rental instead of extra costs!
