Dirty apartment / gave my cat fleas

I rented this apt for a month and it was rented to me extremely dirty. There were cob webs, dead bugs and dirt all over the place. I hired my own cleaners to move in, but the worst was yet to come. 2 weeks later my cat was in the hospital and they said he had fleas. He's 100% indoor, this apartment had a dirty smell and made me extremely itchy. Fleas are living in the carpet, and there is an ant invasion going on. As well as a spider invasion. It cost me $3,000 at the vet.
