Comfortable

Donna was prepared and accommodating. I was unable to stay the length of my contract and she was understanding and willing to compensate me in a manor that was more than fair. Room and bathroom had everything you could need to feel comfortable!

Incredible Property

I had the pleasure of staying at this property while working at a museum in downtown Salem. The location and neighborhood are wonderful. I was able to navigate Salem without a car. The property is a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants and a fifteen minute walk to the commuter rail station that goes into Boston. Donna was an incredible, generous landlord who ensured that my stay was comfortable. The space is great -- spacious bedroom and private bathroom with plenty of closet space and a great kitchen with updated appliances. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great space, location, and owner

What can I say? D , and cant forget Miss M, her dog, are awesome! Bedroom is a great size, with smallish walk in closet and large dresser drawers for storage. TV with lots of channels, and a nice private bathroom! And cant for get the blackout curtains, which were great! The kitchen is wonderful with gas stove, large fridge that has good allotted space for your food, as well as cupboard space. Had a few dinners with D, who is super nice and accommodating with everything! And within easy walking distance to Salem Hospital for fellow medical travelers. If you decide to rent, give M a pet for me!

A gem of a spot!

If you're looking for a place of comfort, close proximity to everything, and a great roommate, this is your place! I worked at Salem Hospital during my contract & it took me less than 5 minutes to drive to work. It's less than a 15 minute walk, also. You can walk to the downtown area/wharf in 10 minutes. The room provided feels like your own little retreat with comfy bedding, ample closet space, and your very own bathroom without having to leave your room. D was truly an amazing landlord. She was always helpful with any of my needs & wanted to sincerely make sure I enjoyed my living arrangement. She is someone I now consider a friend. Her dog, Milli, is a little sweetheart! I highly recommend her place!!

Best spot!

I lived here Spring/Summer of 2023 while travel nursing at Salem Hospital. Truly the best experience living here; location, amenities, and getting to know D and become friends! She takes such care to make the space peaceful, clean, and private. Was the perfect spot for a night shifter and on my days off loved being able to walk to so many restaurants, coffee shops, stores, events, and the train station! Could not recommend Donna's home highly enough. She is kind, friendly, and truly wants you to enjoy her home and city! Best travel experience I've had!

Perfect Night Shift Living Space

I stayed with D during my night shift travel assignment at Salem Hospital. I was able to walk to the hospital in <10 minutes, which was amazing. But best of all was coming home to the beautiful (and comfortable!) bedroom and bathroom with lots of luxuries. Tons of space in the kitchen/fridge and endless use of high-end appliances? Yup. Keurig machine? Yes please. Private, beautifully-appointed bathroom with lots of fluffy linens? Don't mind if I do. And of course, D installed top-quality black-out curtains and ensured absolute quiet during the day. Milli, her sweet dog, was so well behaved and a warm addition to her home. If you're able to nab this place, DO NOT hesitate.

Beautiful Stay...Amazing Landlord

This property is comfortable and well maintained. D is an amazing thoughtful, kind lady. She is very respectful of your privacy and is willing to share her knowledge of the area. Milli her dog is smart and well trained..I will miss playing with her. I extended my contract and was so fortunate to stay with D for 6 months. Her house is very well equipped for all your needs and has a great kitchen to cook in. Parking in snow season is amazing at this property. You can walk to everything in Salem as well as the hospital. I have enjoyed staying at this lovely home and have made a new friend.

Happy Travel Stay

I was fortunate enough to stay in this lovely home, sadly only for a short time, but twas a good time. There are so many perks of staying here. First and most importantly, D. I was nervous to move in with a roommate that I didnt know. I feel lucky to have met her and blessed to have stayed with her. She is thoughtful, kind, and the most amazing person. If I could live with D forever, I would. As for accommodations, less than 1 mile away from work I was able to sleep later than usual with the help of the best blackout curtains in the comfiest bed. The private bathroom and easy street parking are both great too. Millie, D's puppy is the smartest, sweetest, and most quiet dog and Ill miss her so much (Tell her I miss her if you read this). If you have questions, D explains everything and makes you feel at home. The neighborhood is beautiful and the town is in walking distance. If I come back to Salem, Im going to D's.

Incredibly Comfortable

The bedroom is private and quiet with fantastic black out curtains. The bed is super comfortable, I had plenty of closet space, and the bathroom is clean with a great shower and fluffy towels. There are a couple of different tables in the kitchen and dining area to use for eating or computer work. The appliances are modern. Parking is convenient. The neighborhood is safe and friendly - I walked to and from work most of the time and enjoyed the area. One of the biggest perks to this property is that D is an incredible roommate. She is a great person who is friendly, thoughtful, and social while also completely respecting personal space and privacy. She has a sweet small dog that is quiet, pleasant and well-behaved. I always felt rested and comfortable here. If I return to Salem, I will definitely check for availability here first.

Nice and updated

Very nice propert. Very update with technology can use you phone to turn on lights adjust the temperature. The bed is amazing along with the darkest black out curtains ever. The bathroom was spa like. Donna is great landlord. She is very quiet and respectful of your sleeping hours. There is a small area that you can sit in and the kitchen to sit in if you dont want to be confined to your room. The porch is nice. Off the street parking wasnt bad at all. I felt very safe in the neighborhood.

Wonderful hostess and property!

I just left after 6 months & highly recommend Donna & her property. You will stay in an immaculate, comfortable & stylish home that is perfectly located in Salem. I enjoyed the proximity to the train, a short commute to Beverly Hospital, plenty of street parking & peaceful sleeping in the comfy suite. Ive never slept so well for nightshift...the neighborhood is really quiet & the room darkening shades were great. And the shower in the bathroom is very luxurious. Plus Donna will answer any questions and make sure you have a wonderful stay. You wont find any place nicer to stay in this area!

Wonderful!

I just left Donnas condo after a 6 month stay. She is a wonderful housemate. Very helpful with getting settled in, & showing me how everything works (the adjustable lights are great). She was also very respectful of my privacy and comings and goings which is appreciated. Her home is fabulous. The master suite is spacious w two closets and plenty of space in bathroom. I work night shift & slept great during the day thanks to the blackout curtains. Plus, the neighborhood itself is very quiet. The bed is comfy & she provides all sorts of extra amenities. Very clean & safe! Highly recommend!!!

Stellar Review

I stayed here during the winter months and couldn’t be more happy with my stay. My roommate, Donna, was kind, friendly, accommodating, and everything else you could ask for in a roommate. Always there for advice or recommendations on the area and really makes an effort to make you comfortable in your new home away from home. The place was very clean, an easy walk downtown, and in a safe, quiet neighborhood. I had no issues finding street parking and the area was always quick with snow removal. This would easily be my first choice to stay in again if my travels bring me back. 10/10

Great property! Unforgettable stay

I enjoyed Donna's place so much that I extended my stay here! The location is perfect with a short walk to downtown Salem but not so close that you have to worry about finding parking. The property is beautifully decorated and comfortable and the kitchen is fully equipped with anything you might need. Donna has been so welcoming and even threw a welcome dinner so I could meet the neighbors when I first got here and another amazing dinner party for my birthday too. We all know as travelers that sometimes it can be hard to be so far away from home but Donna has made it a pleasure to be here!

Donna is the best

I am a travel nurse and lived here July-December 2017! I don’t know where to begin on what a great location, home and host I had! Donna made sure I had all the essentials to move only my clothes in stress free. The location is a perfect 5 minute walk to all the amazing Salem restaurants, shops and bars. The water front is beautiful! I highly recommend going on a boat tour if weather permits! Donna is a gracious not only roommate but friend! The bed is super comfortable and cozy! I hope my travels bring me back to this location again.
