Irvington Charm - Bedroom 2

This home has been in my family since 1925. I love this old home and try to always be making improvements - and enjoy helping my Travel Nurse guests feel comfortable.

A pleasant porch to enjoy on a nice day.

Upstairs Bedroom 2 - North and West facing easy opening windows with a woodland backyard view. The West window has a block out shade and heavy curtains. An old family walnut bed - with a very high quality mattress.

Shared Kitchen. The 2 mini fridges are for 2 Travel Nurses. Both cabinets below are for their pantry needs.

The large fridge is mainly used by Laura (owner) but is also shared with one other renter. The freezer below is also open for sharing with renters' extra freezer needs.

My home is located in a beautiful part of Irvington - a historic district just 15 minutes due east of downtown Indianapolis. This home is an easy walk to our nearby Ellenberger Park and also to Washington Street (US 40) that has many community amenities, like a StarBucks, multiple eateries, bank, library, gift and clothing shops, etc. Irvington is a beautiful, well connected, vibrant community that is a great place to call home...

Space

This room is at the top of the stairs and right next to the large bathroom shared by me and renter in BR1-returning end of Nov. for only 2 weeks at each monthly visit. It has windows overlooking the northside of the wooded property and also the west view (with lovely sunset light). All windows open easily for fresh air too. Irvington Charm

A few years back, I had the most pleasant experience staying at Irvington Charm that I returned and am now staying in the Knotty Pine room. L is one of the most hospitable people that I have ever known, always available to assist. The house is calm and quiet, and there is such positive energy! It is kept clean and stocked, toasty warm in the winter, and pleasantly cool in the summer. My highest recommendation!

The knotty pine

I had an amazing experience staying in the knotty pine during my contract. As a night shift worker, I truly appreciated how quiet and peaceful the space was, allowing me to get restful sleep during the day. I had a separate entrance and separate bathroom right off of the kitchen and not far from the coffee. The home was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed for my stay. Laura was incredibly responsive and accommodating, ensuring I had a smooth and hassle-free experience. The location was also safe and convenient, with easy access to the highway. It's approx 18 min by highway to Riley and/or Eskenazi or slightly longer if one wants to take the back roads through downtown. I enjoyed my stay, and I would stay here again.

Home away from home

L is the sweetest host one can find. She is very helpful, always checking if everything is okay and up for a chit-chat which creates a very friendly and home like atmosphere. Irvington is a beautiful location with lot of restaurants, cafes, parks at walkable distance. I have enjoyed every moment of staying here and the new friendship which I will cherish. Highly recommend this place.
