Charming Basement Apartment

Great Space

Having stayed for about 2.5 months here, I can honestly say this place is great. It is the perfect size for one person and has everything you need to arrive with just your suitcase. There is an outdoor seating area that is perfect for breakfast or reading a book. The neighborhood is peaceful and within walking distance to the downtown shops and the waterfront. There is driveway parking for a car and garage parking for a bicycle. It has easy access on and off the I5. Nancy arranged a desk and chair for me so I was able to comfortably work from home.

I have truly enjoyed my stay in Nancy's home. It was perfect for me! It is clean and decorated nicely. There was also plenty of storage for all of my things including a space for my bike in the garage area. The neighborhood is quiet and super cute. Nancy provided privacy, security, private washer and dryer, and I cooked nearly everyday on the full sized stove. I also took advantage of the cute outdoor space. I am a day shift nurse at Peace Health which was an easy 14 minute drive. I took full advantage of the outdoor amenities of this area. The waterfront is an easy, 10-15 min walk away (good parking options as well). I spent many evenings walking the Columbia River Walk and taking in the spectacular sunsets. Main street is a great hub for food and live entertainment. The farmers market is fabulous! Nancy is very friendly and hospitable is helpful if you have questions about the area. I am happy to know her and if I have the opportunity to come back I hope this place is available!

What a wonderful experience. My contract was cancelled, and N was so gracious. I haven't felt more comfortable at any FF place I've stayed. I felt at home. N made me feel even more comfortable by asking if I needed anything, how I was doing, etc. Location was perfect for where I worked in Portland. The neighborhood was quiet, clean, safe and close to everything. Her pups were so loving and friendly. They did make me feel so homesick for my own animals. I would definitely recommend her to anyone. Good people!!

A perfect place to stay!

I feel so lucky to have found N's place! This was my first time using furnished finder and I was hesitant when I was looking for a place to rent but as soon as I met N and saw her place I knew it was going to be a perfect fit. The apartment is wonderful, and it has everything you could possibly need. Very convenient having a washer/dryer in unit, and sharing has never been a problem! Its a great amount of space and even though it is a basement it has never felt cramped or dark. N has decorated the space beautifully and has always made me feel right at home. The location is also great! Uptown village and the Vancouver waterfront are super close and there are plenty of options for grocery stores, gyms and gas stations within a 5-10 minute drive. The neighborhood is quiet and has felt very safe. I have really appreciated how considerate and communicative N is, and it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know her and her wonderful pups! I couldn't recommend it more!

Basement apartment

This was a very cute place to stay. The washer and dryer is shared. Though Miss N will do her laundry when you are gone. However, for me it also meant one of her guest also using washer and dryer when she was house and dog sitting for miss N. I could hear everything upstairs: Tv, conversations, sometimes dogs from upstairs. It wasnt loud or constant but there isnt really sound proof walls. But I had my fan at night to drown out any noise, but there was not much. It was a nice place to stay but I had been working in beaverton, so some days traffic back and forth was really bad depending on time of day I had to commute. Lastly for the entrance in to the house there is a shared locked door, past that door there is a mini entry way with two doors. One Locked door leading to miss N's upstairs living space and then a none locked door leading to downstairs basement apartment. I wished there was a lock on this second door. Or at least a dead bolt I could use while there.

Wonderful option!

I am a Nightshift RN at OHSU. The apartment works well for dayshift sleeping and nightshift driving to and from Portland. Quiet small-town community feel, with shopping, salons and restaurants nearby. Great jump point for exploring WA and OR on days off! As for the apartment itself, perfect for 1-person, clean, comfortable and landlady very accommodating. Offered additional cleaning service which I took advantage of as I extended my contract and garage space. Would highly recommend if working in the Vancouver/North Portland area!

Adorable and close to town!

This is an absolutely adorable basement, one-bedroom apartment! It is in a cute neighborhood about a mile from downtown/ waterfront Vancouver. Easy walk or bike ride to many breweries, restaurants, and parks! The place is cutely decorated and has a nice little garden/ patio where I enjoyed dinner most nights! N was an absolute pleasure to have as a landlord - she made everything simple and easy and communicated via texting whenever necessary. She went out of her way to make me feel at home. She was always very considerate of what I might need, the temperature of the apartment, and my privacy. I worked at the hospital in Longview and commuted from Vancouver. It was an easy, highway drive (takes <2 min to get to I5 from the house) with no traffic. Could not recommend enough! There was plenty of space for one person (separate kitchen, large living room, bathroom and bedroom). I hope to come back and stay again some day!

Perfect Home!

Nancys home has been perfect for my needs. She provides a beautiful and comfortable basement apartment. Her home is very clean and quiet. The apartment is fully furnished with all your living needs. I truly appreciate how kind and easy going Nancy is. Shes very flexible with leasing terms as well which is great if youre a professional on the go. Nancy is very respectful of the space and you have your own entrance to the apartment. You will not regret staying at Nancys home!

Best Basement Apt!

Nancy's basement is a perfect little space. Bed is super soft and room gets very dark. Kitchen has everything one could need. Shared washer and dryer works great, and she works around your work schedule. The living space is very spacious, and the smart TV has all the streaming apps you could need to binge all the shows! The neighborhood is very quiet, and I felt very safe running at all times of the day. Nancy has 3 small dogs, but she is very considerate of noise and cleaning up after them, as well as keeping them out of your way. Anything you might need Nancy will graciously help with!

Wow! This Place is a Treasure!

If you are looking for housing in Vancouver and this place is available, look no further! This apartment is cozy and adorable and has everything you need to feel right at home. Plenty of space and privacy. The kitchen is so well equipped and I was able to do all my cooking on the hot plate without a traditional stove no problem. I work night shift &amp; had no problems sleeping during the day—the bedroom window shade provides plenty of darkness. Nancy is the sweetest! She makes you feel right at home, is excellent at communicating, and respects your privacy. 110% recommend this place!

Adorable Basement apartment!

I have absolutely loved living in Nancy’s basement apartment! It is so cozy and charming! It is completely furnished with everything you need, including pots and pans, cooking utensils, coffee pot, toaster, furniture, TV, extra blankets and towels, etc. She has it decorated so nicely and I have felt so “at home” while living here. Nancy is the most wonderful lady, and she has made me feel so welcomed in her home. I feel so lucky to have found such an incredible place to live while in Vancouver, WA. It is also in a perfect location, right near downtown!

Private, Comfortable and Convenient

Great rental for a traveling medical profesional. It has everything you could need and plenty of space for one person. It has an a comfortable full bed, nice living room with a TV and kitchen area. It has shared laundry machines and plenty of storage. The land lady lives in the main floor and is super sweet! She is really helpful in suggestions for the area. She also has two adorable dogs that are really friendly, they stay out of the basement area. I highly recommended this place for any visiting traveler. I have stayed here almost 2 months so far with one to go. Wish I could stay longer!
