Great place to stay

Stephanie was very accommodating and kind. She was easy to talk to and really cares that you have a great stay.

Lesson Learned

I tried to be flexible, patient & understanding. Moving out before my end date was not on my bingo card. -Her friendly, loving dog continuously greets you (and other tenants) by smelling your crouch and butt. -Should only be rented out to people who work day shift (I bought ear buds to help block out noise during my sleeping hours(I am mid shifter) -there is possibility of her opening your mail even though it is addressed to you -Her walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING including her true thoughts about her tenants (I did not talk on the phone bc of this) -A copy of your work shift is requested but, you will still be asked about your comings and goings -if she can find the key, you will have a key to the lock on your door - I will say she did return my deposit and prorated rent in a timely fashion -you get what you pay for....... GOOD LUCK

Great place to stay

I stayed at Stephanie's for a year. She is very accommodating and helpful. I worked nights and it was always quiet enough for me to sleep during the day. She has suggested great restaurants to try and things to do in the area. My room was a good size and I never felt like I didn't have enough space. If I ever end up traveling in this area again, I will definitely be checking with Stephanie to see if she has any rooms available.

S was the best host yet

S was an amazing host. She created an atmosphere of comfort and home. I enjoyed our conversations and check ins. Prior to my arrival she asked if there were any special adaptations or things I needed for comfort and provided all that we discussed. I would definitely recommend her and her home to anyone looking to find a home away from home in Springfield

I enjoyed my stay. S is a great and friendly and welcoming landlord, her dog is also very friendly once she meets you, and the other tenants are nice and welcoming. S like to engage with her tenants, be it having dinner with those in the house or just asking how your day went, but also is willing to give you your space and privacy when you ask for it. S also always has suggestions for attractions and activities anyone can enjoy during their stay in Springfield. The property is also close by the local grocery stores, parks, and gas stations. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay because of Stephane, the friendly other tenants, and the convenience of the stores and parks nearby.

S's place is a great place to live. It is close to the major hospitals in Springfield (Springfield Memorial and St. John's) and is located in a quiet neighborhood. S is a wonderful host and I enjoyed my time living there. Definitely felt like home away from home!

Clean, quiet, and well-kept place. Great location in a cul-de-sac minutes from major hospitals. The owner is really nice, understanding, and professional person. I am a returning customer myself, staying for a few months in 2017 and most of 2021. If you need a great and affordable place to stay in Springfield, I would strongly recommend this one.

A Five Star Stay

S is a excellent host, hospitable, personal and helpful. The house itself is clean, tidy, conveniently lcoated and a good place to rest. I stayed there for almost two full years. If you are looking for a place to stay with the iconic central Illinois hospitality, I fully recommend.

nice, quiet house in a great neighborhood, close to the hospital

I thought the location was great, close to the hospital and shopping. The house is well kept and quiet. I never had any problems. I would recommend for any travel nurses as a great option.

Quiet place for travelers

Nice, little room in a 4-bedroom house on a quiet street. 10 minutes from HSHS St John. S is cool and flexible. She is a travel RN herself so shes very understanding with travelers hassle.

Great Place

Great stay, clean, welcoming, close to the hospitals! This is a great home to rent a room at for travel nurses. Host is very friendly and accommodating. Talked to other guests who have repeatedly stayed at this location and loved it. If I go back to Springfield I will definitely be returning!

POOR, UNSANITARY,BLACK MOLD

Left after discovering enormous amounts of black mold!!! Its a spore forming bacteria that will reek havoc on you respiratory system. TRAVELERS BEWARE!!! Consider sleeping in car or camping; but stay as far away as possible. I know it cheap but cheap isnt just in the rental fee.
