Room Review

I had the perfect 4 month stay at Katies. The house and room were just like the photos, cozy and comfortable. There were 3 of us in the house, but with everyones different schedule, I had several days of quiet alone time. My favorite part was sitting on the patio looking out over the sound. Katie was a very kind and welcoming host.

Loved it here!

Neighborhood is quiet, cozy, and private. Good centralized location with a view of The Sound from the backyard. Katie is an amazing host. Quiet and respectful of both day and night shift sleepers. She rents out 2 of her rooms. Absolutely loved my stay here! Would stay again and again!

Feels Like Home!

Agree with all of the other reviews! K definitely makes you feel at home and "part of the family." The home and area are beautiful! So grateful that I was able to cross paths with K and experience the area on my journey.

Home away from home

I highly recommend this as a place to stay. This was my first time to travel and staying with K made it an easy transition. She is amazing! So friendly and generous with everything! I am thankful for the friendship that has begun. The room is comfortable and has plenty of room for your things, I know because I overpacked. I was there in January and K supplied me with a heater for my room, as well as a diffuser. Linens are provided for the room and bathroom. I had a roommate who I shared a bathroom with and that was fine. We worked opposite shifts and we had no issues. The kitchen and living room spaces, as well as a nice back porch with seating and a beautiful view are also shared. K has every appliance you can imagine. Also there is access to the washer and dryer, as well as Wi-Fi. Thanks K for your wonderful hospitality!!!

Beautiful Home

Let me just start by saying that K is an amazing and wonderful friend (we became friends after my arrival). Her home is beautiful, clean, peaceful, and comes with a gorgeous view of Puget Sound from the backyard! K has every amenity anyone could ask for, and goes out of her way to make others comfortable. If you are looking for an excellent place to stay, give her a try. You wont be disappointed!!!!

Home away from home!

K is an amazing host! Loved staying with her in her home & getting to know her some. The house is great & has everything you could think of. Plenty of room. Huge back yard (bonus if you have your dog) Me and my pup enjoyed our stay here. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone working in Federal Way or Tacoma. Commute times were manageable & you get the best of both worlds if you wanted to explore Seattle or Tacoma.

A True Home Away From Home

Perfection! K's home is truly a home away from home. PICK THIS PLACE, YOU WON'T REGRET IT! K is THE most welcoming person I've ever stayed with. (A lifelong friend now.) The space is gorgeous, comfortable and peaceful. The yard is a true respite to come home to, with a peak-a-boo view of Puget Sound, hummingbirds, a hammock, a grill, and great company in K, when she's not on a trip. The kitchen (and K) has EVERYTHING you could ever want or need. The bedroom was cozy, bed comfortable (with a heated mattress pad) and there're blackout curtains if needed. The bath is beautiful, clean and has a large tub with great showerheads. K is a true dog lover too. Always sweet and caring of my pup, Kai. I will miss her dearly and wish I could've stayed longer. Enjoy your stay here knowing you chose well.

Relaxing and hospitable home !

K is an amazing host !! She makes you feel right at home and is truly such a kind person. I really loved getting to know her and spend time with her. Her property is in a beautiful and safe neighborhood with views of the Puget sound right in her backyard. I spent so much time in the backyard and loved being able to pick fresh veggies and herbs from K's garden. It was so nice to come home from a stressful day at work to this amazing home environment. The backyard is perfect too for dogs to run around.

Amazing Host

K is an amazing host. The house is immaculate and she is a very considerate person. The views from the backyard are stunning. Close to anything you would need. great neighborhood. I really enjoyed my time here and wouldn't hesitate to stay with her again. Very reasonable price for the room you get. Comfy bed, your own tv. I was very happy here.

Perfect Location for Tacoma hospitals

This place was amazing! K was like my second mama when I was 40 hours from my actual mama! The room was very nice and spacious! The backyard was my favorite place to spend the day looking at the water and letting my boy Bax play! Very central location to Tacoma and Seattle! Very clean and welcoming home all around! I cant wait to come back to the PNW!

Home away from home

This place is AMAZING! Not only is your room plenty spacious and the house clean, but K. is an incredible landlord. This place is perfect for you if you enjoy peace & quiet, and a nice hot meal after a long day at work. K. does a great job of making the place feel so welcome, and not only is she the sweetest human ever, she loves dogs so my tiniest family member felt right at home too. Beautiful views of the water and plenty close to Tacoma/Seattle for all the local hospitals. I could not ask for a better stay I cant wait until I get to come back!

Must stay here

Amazing house with an even better view and backyard... perfect for travel nurses especially working in Tacoma like I was quick and easy commute!! Also very quiet day and night as one of us was day shift and the other nights and no issues!! Close to lots of things to do and explore even tho I was there during shutdowns; my dog loved it there and could be found tanning in the backyard all the time haha highly recommend this stay!!

Comfortable & relaxed atmosphere

Katie's home has a quiet & relaxed atmosphere and she maintains a clean home. The view from the backyard & patio is amazing during Spring & Summer. I spent many afternoons lounging & watching the ships & ferries go by. Katie is an amazing hostess! She almost intuitively knew when I needed my space, but we also had a lot of fun together cooking & chatting. I always felt safe, secure, comfortable.......and well, just at home there.

Nice, quiet place

Katie's house is so pretty and the views are amazing of the sound from the backyard! Also a nice, quiet neighborhood for anyone working nights or early mornings. Katie had everything I needed provided already and was so sweet about getting a space heater for my room when I was cold and not used to a Washington winter. It's about equal distance from both Auburn and TG in commute times. I worked at both and never had any issues with traffic or anything because it's easy to take the back roads and stay off the 5. I had my dog with me and he loved the house and backyard. He probably also liked Katie more than me too lol. Great place, she really does make you feel at home.

Perfect home away from home!

Katie's house was a perfect travel nurse home! My favorite part was definitely the view of the water from her backyard, you can even see the Olympic mountains. I loved relaxing out there in the sun and in the evenings after work, saw many beautiful sunsets! Katie is such a kind loving host and truly welcomed me into her home and made me feel like family. It was definitely hard to leave, I even extended 3 more months since I loved it so much. Her house is also in a beautiful neighborhood and is just a short 5 minute drive from a the Redondo boardwalk where I spent many evenings. It was also fun to have another travel nurse roommate. I definitely recommend Katie's house to any travel nurses looking for their perfect home away from home!
