Furnished 1 bdr Apt 50 yards from hospital

I first selected this upper apartment and then stayed in the one below, due to washer and dryer being inside the unit. Apartment is huge, clean, furnished, quiet, equipped kitchen with many cooking utensils, large refrigerator, microwave, nice cooking range and large living room area. Mail box opens inside unit (big convenience!), next to front door. There is also rear entrance by side yard with trees and grass, which opens into larger yard by exit door for the building. There is reserved gravel parking spot by rear of the building. I felt fine to use small fans of mine during summer but there are also multiple air conditioners inside apartment. There was $700 deposit and owner informed before renting of $150 as non-refundable due to shampooing fees (usual at any rented place I have been to). On checking out, they however returned $600 to me. Neighborhood seems nice with major grocery stores nearby. One Starbucks is few minutes of walk away. Great place to stay, overall!

Stayed in Apt1. within walking distance of CRMC. Needs to be renovated, the one window cooling system does not cool the entire unit, kitchen always hot. Had to cook at night or else heat would be unbearable. Landlord cited heat wave, but Fresno is always hot in the summer.Old building so everything creaks. The $500 is not all refundable so if you receive a carpet that doesnt appear deep cleaned, let landlord know. I cleaned it myself and still charged for cleaning even though it was covered in hair and dust when I received it. All in all, an ok stay for short travel assignment.
