I stayed in this one-bedroom rental for six months while on a travel nursing assignment, and it was exactly what I needed. The property sits on five beautiful acres in the Redwoods, providing a peaceful, safe, and relaxing environment after long workdays. The location was idealonly about 10 minutes from the hospital, making my commute easy and convenient. There was plenty of parking, and I always felt secure on the property. The apartment was well-equipped with reliable internet, a cooktop, and all the dishes, cookware, and kitchen essentials needed for preparing meals at home. The pellet stove kept the space warm and cozy, especially during the cooler months. The combination of privacy, natural beauty, and convenience made this a wonderful place to call home during my assignment. I would highly recommend it to travel professionals or anyone looking for a comfortable extended stay in the Redwoods.

Idyllic Property

I stayed here for 5 months and wished I could have stayed longer! I am a travel nurse and unfortunately my assignment ended after renewing twice. If given the opportunity, I will stay here again. The location: Surrounded by redwood trees and flora giving Jurassic Park vibes, it was like living in a fairy-tale. I slept soundly whether it was during the day or night...(night-shift nurse) - sleeping during the day 3 times a week was easy. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of city-life, but just a 5-10 minute drive into downtown Eureka with easy access northward toward Arcata and Trinidad as well. The unit: perfectly sized one-bedroom unit with open living room and kitchen floor plan with separate bathroom and separate bedroom. The bedroom has a walk-in closet allowing me to keep my things out of view and large windows on two sides of the room that reveal the majesty of the redwoods and letting in a lot of light. However, blackout curtains are fantastic at blocking out daytime light when I was sleeping for my night-shift. There is a wood pellet stove that heats quick and easy as well as adding to the ambience. The host has thought of everything and all my needs were provided in advance. I simply came in, dropped my bag, and started living. The host: She is a kind, thoughtful, and caring person who ensured my stay was perfect. She is very responsive to questions or needs and went out of her way to assist in ensuring I slept well during the day by planning any property work around my schedule.

Rented this cottage for 5 months

Perfect cozy place located behind main house. Safe and secure. All appliances work. There's plenty of dishes and cookware. The pellet heater does a really good job of keeping the house warm. Best part is the bedroom. Blackout curtains and the remote location make for the best sleep I've gotten in my life. The unit itself is a nice getaway from city living. No one comes down here to disturb you. Teresa is very accommodating. One of the best hosts I've rented from. I would highly recommend staying here. Short drive from AABar and Grill,redwood brewing company, and sals bar. Safeway is only a couple miles away. Great location even better host.

Unsafe

Had to call the county to get smoke detecter and CO detecter as landlord refused to provide these things. Dryer broke and landlord jerryrigged it causing a fire hazard. Landlord kept coming over unannounced. Don't rent here for your safety and peace of mind. This is the second review and Furnished Finder posted it then removed it. It's fair that reviews be released on other social media sites.

Very lucky this place was available during our stay in Eureka. Clean and well kept by T(the landlady). I work long hour days while my wife stays at the rental most of the time, So safety is a big aspect. Ts rental is tucked, surrounded in 5 acre redwoods. Safe and secure, I didn't even have to worry about our cars being broken into. The place is a Short commute as well to everything we needed. To us, the best perk, is that the rental, which is still a part of the city is an ease (away from all the hustle and bustle), moreover you have a caring and accommodating landlady. We both wish we got to stay longer. If we were to be back in Eureka, we would definitely like to stay in Ts rental if given the opportunity.
