Foster City Dream House

This was a gorgeous stay! I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful room to stay in. It was cozy and had all that I needed. Amy was an amazing landlord/housemate/friend, and Dewey was the sweetest dog. She was so supportive of me during my terminal clinical rotation, and was so gracious to share her home baked desserts with me too! This home is full of stunning places to recharge, and the neighbors are all so kind and considerate of traveling professionals staying here. I would certainly love to stay here again.

Amazing accommodations

I had the pleasure of renting the studio downstairs. The back door opens to the lake that surrounds the community. There are kayaks to use, and there is a dock that has a sofa and chair to be able to enjoy the views. And the views are great! Its a great place to go relax after a long day or even go kayaking. The community has a pool, a beach, and plenty of space. I am a quiet person so I enjoyed the tranquility. The landlord Amy is so nice! She really treats her tenets like guests and even provides delicious brownies from time to time. I will definitely go back if I get another assignment nearby.

Home away from home

I have only positive things to say about my stay here. The homeowner and her dog Dewey, treated me like family. The house is beautiful. There are so many outdoor activities within walking distance. Trails galore right from the entrance of the subdivision. I always felt safe here, even while walking alone. Amy is an amazing cook and is such a genuinely kind person! I will forever be grateful for every meal I was invited to and for every brownie I ate (so yummy). If I ever take another assignment in this area in the future, I would definitely choose to stay here again. Thank you so much for everything!!!!

Like a vacation property! Amazing place to stay in San Mateo/ Redwood City Area!

I got extremely lucky with this furnished finder place , it was my first one as a traveling respiratory therapist. This place is amazing and in a wonderful location. Surrounded by a small bay/lagoon area, has a private beach area to go sit at and relax. Multiple nice/scenic walking areas in and around neighborhood. Super safe and quiet to be in and around. Private safe parking area. Very nice/serene home away from home. I had the yellow room and it was super nice and cozy. A the host is amazing and makes you feel right at home and makes sure you have everything you could need. A is so easy get along with and is knowledgeable about the area and is a great tour guide as well. A always usually has something baked in the kitchen to share with everyone. D the dog is super nice, so cute. Always greets you at door. A is amazing an just makes you feel right at home, a place to enjoy! My go to place from now on whenever i am in the area!

Amy is the Absolute BEST!!

I lodged at this beautiful property for 3 months while interning at Gilead Life Sciences. The property is on a lake and extremely close and convenient to the Airport! Also, there are nearby hotels and restaurants that yiu can choose from. But the highlight of my stay is how clean, friendly, loving, and caring A is. The neighbors are just as nice and friendly. A loves to bake and she always baked delicious cookies for everyone. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet as well. A also has a very friendly dog that loves to play. I received mails, was able to do my laundry, cook, etc with no problem. A always made sure that there were supplies available and i was always comfortable. When i go back to California, im lodging no where else but at this property.

Great property and great host

A great spot on a lagoon with a gracious and generous host. Plenty of room and many amenities. The owner always made me feel at home and relaxed during my stay. Would stay again. A+

Beautiful location!

Amazing location on the lagoon in a quiet, private, safe neighborhood across the street from the bay. A is such a wonderful host providing resources and recommendations for the surrounding Bay Area. She has years of experience hosting for traveling professionals. Highly recommend this place for the active adventurer taking an assignment in the Bay Area!

Best Place to be

This place is a must if you are looking for a chill, quiet. respectful vibe while enjoying the most welcoming dog ever. The location is well placed and closed to the Airport in San Francisco. Easy drive to SF, Oakland, San Jose, Redwood City, and the silicon valley. proximity to easy shopping, a very quiet neighborhood. I just love this place. If you are an employee or contractor for a company like Gilead. Then you have it easy. Because it is literally walking distance to Gilead Campus and Park. So I definitely recommend this place. Plus the owner Amy is a wholesome, sweetheart and the best person you would ever meet. Oh, she also makes the best Brownies, Chocolate chip cookies, like she is the BEST BAKER I have ever come across.

Home away from home

I found A's place for my summer internship in Foster City. It was the most comfortable, welcoming, and fun place to be in, making my summer extra memorable. The best part of A's place was the location, environment, and safety. Although I was in Foster City for work, A's place felt like a vacation rental. The location was amazing, especially because I was 10-minute walk away from my company (Gilead), 5 minute drive to Target, literally across the street from a stunning trail/park, 10-minute drive from SFO (airport), and having the lagoon view from the porch. A always welcomed me to have friends over and hang out by the porch to watch sunsets. I was able to have my personal time and space when I needed it but also have the family/friend social interaction with A and other housemates at home whenever. I had the perfect balance of freedom, comfort, and entertainment at A's place. My stay with A and Dewey is unforgettable and I wish to return!

The best!

I cant say enough great things about my stay here! A's place was the perfect location. Its close to a shopping center which includes a Target as well as a Starbucks (and lots more) and also very close to a Costco. I was a traveler at Mills and my drive was only 10 minutes. I had my own room which was on the top floor and it was right next to the bathroom and washer/dryer. The outdoor deck is perfect if you want to relax and have your coffee. Parking was never an issue! I got off shift at 11:30 pm and never had a problem finding a parking spot. A is truly the best host! She respects your privacy but shes also someone I felt I could count on if I ever needed anything. I felt like I had a mom/friend away from home. I always found myself munching on some cookies she had baked whenever I got home from work. If you LOVE dogs, then youre going to love being here. Koa and Dewey are awesome dog mates. I loved playing and cuddling them. I HIGHLY recommend staying here!

Oasis on the Bay

This is a stunningly beautiful home, including the physical attributes of the home, more important, are the people who reside here? ! Amy welcomes you with open arms into her home, at the same time, allows you the privacy you desire during your downtime... the water,the decks, the surrounding area, encompass a delightful serenity, having you feel as if you are away from the" hustle and bustle" of the city, when in actuality you are only a short drive away,(esp to hospitals). I'll end this review by saying if you stay with Amy, it will surely be one of the bright spots during your travels, as I can attest, it was for me!!(Including the pups?)

This place is perfect, and I couldnt have asked for a better home for my first travel contract! Amy creates a family environment in her home, and I felt comfortable right away. I knew if I ever needed something I could ask and rely on her. Wonderful roommates, with whom I have every intention of staying in touch. The house is beautiful and clean, Koa and Kai (the 2 dogs) were a much desired addition for me as I went through withdrawal leaving my dog at home, and I spent a lot of time on the deck, ideal spot to tan, chill, and read! I highly recommend!

Wonderful experience

I absolutely loved my time at this location! The house and room I stayed in were perfect in every way. Great location, clean house, and amazing views. My favorite part about staying here was the people. They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like family. I couldnt have asked for a better situation while staying and working in San Mateo!

Waterfront Tri-level Lagoon Home

So many great things to say about this place. The location is amazing for those who want to relax after a hard days work or on your days off. Close enough to the city for some fun and exploration without having to pay the big city prices. Housemates are all wonderful and respectful and made my experience even better. Big plus for dog lovers who wish they could have a pup or two. Super loving animals that will sit and/or play with you. Overall, a wonderful experience and would recommend it to other travelers.
