A Place to Call Home When Your Away From Home

If I can rate this place 10 stars, I would! Muffin was awesome and made me feel at home. The neighborhood was nice, quiet and safe. If I ever get another contract job in this area, Ill definitely book this place again. Toughest part of being a traveling healthcare worker is feeling lonely due to being away from home, but I didnt even feel any loneliness due to Muffins care and overall kindness.

Property review

First time being a travel RN and booking a 3 month stay turning into 11 months. Mel and Dee are amazing host. Home is clean, safe and quiet. Being so comfortable with the families and their pets. (I fell in love with) They really make you feel part of the family. Helped me make my decision on extend my contract for as long as I did so much easier. Again, this was my first travel job, housing and being away from my family for 11 months, I couldn't thank them enough for making it an amazing experience for me to adjust to. Annie V.

Great place to stay for a travel nurse

Ms. D is a wonderful landlord and her house is a great place to stay! So much so- I wound up staying an entire year at her place and will continue to stay until I am no longer extended at my contract! Ms. D is so nice, caring and extremely responsive if you ever need anything or have any questions. I always feel very safe and right at home. The rooms are comfortable, clean and spacious. You are provided with a black out shades, a coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave for your own convenience. Ms. D also makes sure the bathroom schedules are coordinated with day and night shift workers so you never have an issue. Location was fantastic as well, I am a Travel RN who worked at JSUMC- only a quick 7 minute drive away! There are other stores, strip malls and shops a very short drive away as well. Parking is right in a culdesac in front of home so there's never an issue. This place is a great place to stay if you are looking for a private room during a contract!

super host @ 303 Belmar Ave

The host is super nice! She made me feel at home away from home. She is generous when asked for something and I had a great privilege of using her backyard for downtown study or sun bathing or just mindfulness moments. Breakfast and lunch in the Sun is a great vacation feeling. It is close to Jersey Shore University Hospital (6 min drive) and safe and clean neighborhood with peaceful and responsible neighbors. Close to Ocean shopping centers with Burlington, Marshall and Costco. Beaches are 5-10 minutes drive. The park lovers have a park access just a block down from the host place.

Very peaceful and quiet atmosphere. D does a fantastic job of ensuring her home feels like your home away from home. I work the night shift and usually have to use a sound machine, but the neighborhood is very quiet, and it is easy to rest and sleep during the day. Her home is a 5 min commute to JSUMC and is approximately a 10-15 min drive to the beach. It was the perfect location.

MUST RENT - YOU WOULD BE HAPPY

I love renting a room at this home. The room I stayed was spacious. There was a tv, mini fridge and couch available in the room. The home was always quiet which is great for travelers who work at night. The home is in a convenient area, close to chase bank, food markets, salons and gas station. The owner was socialable, helpful and kind. There was a time I needed something at night and D was there to provide assistance. No matter the time, she was available. As a traveler, its difficult to rent a room far away from home and feel safe. Thats a risk we take. At no time, I felt unsafe leaving the home during the day and at night. I highly recommend renting a room with D.

Stayed here as a student for rotations and again as a resident at JSUMC. Would highly recommend for students or healthcare workers who are looking for a place to stay within 2 miles (5 min) of the hospital. My stay was extremely comfortable and convenient. Drama free household with convenient furnished room with a Smart TV, personal fridge and comfortable bed. roommates are all healthcare workers, everyone keeps to themselves and overall peaceful environment that promotes rest and recovery for hardworking healthcare workers and students alike.

Wonderful Stay in Neptune!

I loved my stay with M and C in Neptune! I rented one of their rooms and I felt comfortable and at home the entire time. M was accommodating and so lovely and friendly. Plus, I personally love dogs and fell in love with their two sweetheart pups (so much so I wish I could have taken them home with me!). Plus so close to the beach, restaurants, and fabulous NYC. This Furnished Finder listing is a total gem!

Quiet House with the Nicest Owner

D's room was exactly what I needed for between shifts. The room was cool and quiet even during the day (which was great because I work nights), and D was always very quick to respond to texts about anything. The house and neighborhood are very safe. The in-room mini fridge and microwave were a huge plus. Definitely recommend staying in this sweet ladys home!

The Absolute Best!

I had an amazing stay at this property!! Muffin the host, is the most warm and radiant lady I've encountered in my year of using Furniture Finder. Immediately, you feel like an additional family member. The transition couldn't have been easier. I was invited to family functions, and it was truly my family away from family! It was a blessing to have spent this season at this home. It was relieving to leave work at work and unwind in a relaxing space. If you are considering this property, you won't regret it. D is an amazing resource and genuine woman that has been ubelievabley helpful, before and after I decided to choose this property. If I return to New Jersey, I definitely will be coming back home :)

Summer near the shore

The property is beautiful. I had so much privacy. I could not have asked for a better or more welcoming host. I was treated like family and my time in the area was the better for it. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again whenever l return to the area.

Work stay

Finding housing as a travel nurse is always difficult however D made it very seamless. Her place is quiet and clean and perfect for those looking for a safe place to stay especially being new to the area. Would stay here again.

This property is close to JSUMC, the host is very accommodating and welcoming. Although there are others people in the house, everyone is respectful, it's quiet and you have your own privacy. I enjoyed my stay at D's place. Would def recommend it

Home away from Home

I had a great rental experience at Ds place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighborhood is conveniently located in a quiet and safe suburban neighborhood. The house is very quiet making it easy to get enough sleep for my 7 pm shift. The place was well organized, clean and inviting. Although theres no place like home, I felt so welcomed and at home during my stay there, I renewed my 13 week contract 3 times, knowing I had a great rental space. I would not only recommend you stay but if available Ill definitely return if I commit to another contract in this area in the future. I would absolutely recommend this travel nurse friendly location.

Amazing Host

The listing is exactly as described. D is a very caring and gracious host. She made herself available to assist in any way she could to make the stay enjoyable. The listing is in a central location to many hospitals in the area. The listing was very clean, quiet and welcoming. Hospitality rate a 10! Clean quiet dark room for night shift worker. This couple are perfect hosts opening their home to professionals. I would stay here again if the need arises without hesitation. Great place to rent!

Excellent property and person to rent from. She is a very gracious and accommodating host. Respects privacy while being considerate of your travel and work needs while on assignment. The place is well maintained, kept clean and orderly, and has a great family atmosphere. Again, just a gracious host and awesome person. The place is also ideally located near Jersey Shore and plenty of great restaurants without being stuck right in the middle of it all, so you still get some peace and quiet. Easy commute to where ever need to go.

The home is well kept, nice, quiet and clean a homely feel to it. The owners are awesome people. My room was very cozy. No need to bring pots and pans just buy you own food. Wonderful stay

If you are browsing this property, go for it! This was a very comfortable stay in a safe neighborhood. I was able to go for walks and runs in the area. The host is very kind and thoughtful also! Room comes with smart TV, very comfortable bed, storage space, mini fridge and microwave, coffee maker, and carefully folded towels waiting on the bed. Even though this was a room rental in a house, there was plenty of privacy, and interactions with the host or other travelers when you want. This home also has a beautiful backyard with plenty of space! I would definetly stay here again if I pick up another assignment in New Jersey! Miss you Ms. Dee!

Your host is a recently retired law enforcement officer who is very kind friendly and accomodating. The house is at the end of a cul de sac in a very safe neighborhood.

Your Home Away From Home

As a travel nurse you often have to find good housing in a short period of time. I was so lucky to find safe, clean and affordable housing close to my assignment. I worked during the peak of the covid pandemic, and I loved returning home to a peaceful and fun environment everyday. Ms. D excels at providing travelers a great housing experience. I am from New Jersey and this place became my home away from home. My roommates were from all over the nation and we got along so well. I am going to miss our movie nights!! I have recommended this location to my travel nurse friends!

Best stay in NJ

This was my first travel assignment, and my goodness was this the best decision to rent a room from her! You dont even know! what kind of fun, lifestyle changes and experiences you will be getting living in this home. No drama! Private! (Lived during the Covid pandemic, the house filled was filled up but felt like myself living in it sometimes), SUPER FUN, and never a dull moment. This home is a home away from home. I was able to focus on the things I needed to living here. Will be coming back!!! And MUFFN is the best!!! Wishing your stay to be as good as mine -VN.

Just what I needed!

Dee was such a great roommate and homeowner. I felt very welcomed and the room was as listed. The home is located conveniently close to the Parkway and all major area hospitals. Also, it was on a very quiet street. Would recommend any day.

Ms D was more than accommodating and my stay was comfortable. Felt like I was staying with family. Location was perfect and price for area and season was more than fair. I am a traveling healthcare IT consultant. I have rented a number of houses and rooms for long term stays. My stay at Delisas was exceptional. The house is always clean. Everyone she allows to rent from her are responsible professionals. The neighborhood is safe. I never had any issues while living there. Her rules are reasonable and meet the expectations of any sound mind adult living with other sound mind adults. I would highly recommend booking with her for your living needs while traveling professionally.

Quiet, safe home

Wonderful experience! Ms. Dee is a law enforcement officer and makes you feel very safe, which was great for me being new to the area and by myself. The house is quiet at all hours, making it perfect if you work nights and want to get some sleep during the day. Ms. Dee was very accommodating and all other renters in the house were friendly and clean. Overall would definitely recommend to travelers looking for a safe, quiet place to live in the area!

Great Place to Stay

The owner was great to deal with and since she is a cop I felt even more secure. It is so true about how quit the place is even with other nurses there. Everyone was very respectful to each other when we did see one another. The room had everything I needed and was very nicely decorated. The mini frig and microwave was a huge plus. The rent was more than reasonable and there was never any issues. I extended my term a few times and found that it books very quickly. Ms. D was always willing to allow me to extend since I was already there but if interest BOOK IT. you wont be disappointed.
