Spacious room for one person in San Francisco Victorian

Comfortable stay, great host

Marie was a wonderful host! House is well maintained, beautiful architecture, and updated bathroom. The bedroom was comfortable, great bed and nice lighting. The neighborhood is outside of the main Mission St action which is a positive! Grocery stores are in walking distance, restaurants near by and the neighbors are friendly. Parking is tight if you have a car, especially depending on your work schedule. I used Lyft bike rentals for my commute which was worth the membership. Marie is a responsive and reasonably accommodating. She is very lively and active in the community. I would recommend extended and short stays (I stayed 11 months). I plan to keep in touch and visit again when I return to SF.

Lovely Home with a Lovely Person

I had the privilege of staying with M for nearly 5 months during my clinical year, leaving with a new friend and great memories. M's home is in the Mission District, a historical and cultural landmine for SF. It is a 3-5 minute drive to freeways and only a 5-12 minute walk from bus stops or BART. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants, bars, and cafes. It is also near several parks (including Mission Dolores!). The room is massive with great lighting, plenty of storage space, and a desk for work. Her kitchen is fully equipped, and she has a lovely backyard to spend sunny afternoons. M was a great host and accommodated any requests I had. She is very friendly and honors your privacy. I was grateful to have her as my host and I will always look back on this time fondly. I will note that if you are a commuter, parking tends to be difficult in the neighborhood. However, M was always willing to offer her driveway if needed.
