Private room in Seattle, Washington
Landlord Tenure: 7 years, 3 months
Conveniently located in Belvidere (of West Seattle), this 1928 Cape Cod offers a warm, comfortable and bright living space. The home also offers a comfortable daylight basement that lands you into a fully fenced backyard.
10-15 walking distance to most everything, and also have a guest cruiser bike that may be available to use.
The kitchen, laundry and storage is shared with me, the owner. Otherwise you have ...
West Seattle - it has just about everything.
Spacious,comfortable, walkable
The entire experience was great. Scott is friendly, low-key, and professional. He responded quickly when I reached out. The basement is spacious with comfortable furniture including a full-length sofa, a recliner, and a well-placed, large TV, and has windows to the back yard providing lots of natural light. The bathroom includes a full tub. The upstairs shared kitchen is well-equipped, although I mostly made do with the microwave and dorm fridge/freezer downstairs. The basement remained below 70 even on the hottest day of summer (97). The quiet residential area is very walkable, with sidewalks (not always a given in the Seattle area), good access to public transit, and 6 supermarkets plus a weekly farmers market, a post office, and countless shops within walking distance. (There are of course hills, but after 4 months with no car Im in great shape.) If the opportunity arose, I would be delighted to stay here again.
Cozy Basement Apartment
Scott is a great host and very respectable of personal privacy. His arrangements had everything I needed for my 15 week contract at Swedish in downtown Seattle. His property is located in a very quiet and safe neighborhood in West Seattle. Many great local restaurants and bars within walking distance. My commute to downtown by vehicle was about 10-20 minutes and the bus route was about 30-40 minutes once I learned the routes. Overall, it was a great stay and would stay here again if i returned to Seattle.
