Exceptional Service Sets the Standard My first stay here was 11 years ago, and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to come back. What truly makes Palomares Canyon Estate a unique experience is the incredible level of personal service. The landlord, Kathy-Jo, was simply amazing and attentive to my every need, helping me everything from doing my laundry and buying groceries to providing essential support like picking me up from the airport and taking me to medical appointments. Not Ideal for Traveling Professionals

While the room matched the listing and the neighborhood felt safe, I found the overall experience stressful. Communication was frequent and sometimes overwhelming, with new or updated rules sent via text or email several times a week. There were also attempts to add charges for items that, in my understanding, should have been the landlords responsibility or were not included in the lease terms. The environment felt unpredictable, and I was often on edge. Im relieved to be moving on.

Safe, peaceful and quiet stay

Great and peaceful and quiet! Room was spacious and I had the kitchen and fridge all to myself, it was great! Property is gated, felt completely safe! Kathy Jo was a great host, always available for whatever I needed and helpful! I even hurt my back during my last 2 weeks of stay there and she helped me through it, could not have recovered without her! Would definitely recommend to anyone!!

Breathtaking and Restorative Property

I had a truly wonderful experience. The property itself is breathtaking the views were spectacular from every room, and the tranquil setting, filled with the sounds of nature, was incredibly peaceful and restorative. I especially appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of both Kathy and Malachi. Kathy, your attentiveness to our needs made our stay even more enjoyable. Kathy, thank you for the great talks and advice. The horses were also a delightful addition, so friendly and gentle. I will miss them. Thank you again for a memorable stay.

Perfect home away from home!

The title says it all. I couldn't have asked for a more cozy home to call home while on an interim nurse manager assignment. Suite A was the perfect size, comfy bed, nice tub to soak in, peaceful and serene to open the door, shut the screen and have a nice breeze with the fan on to relax at the end of the day. The fully stocked kitchenette was perfect for just me and had all the amenities I needed! Kathy was a wonderful responsive landlady, easy to communicate with and willing to accommodate a request of darkening shades to make it perfect for me! Her goal was to make it a quiet, safe, peaceful, relaxing place to come at the end of a stressful day, and she exceeded that expectation! Highly recommend her place...the perfect location, and the horse pet therapy was a bonus!

Glamping

I am a traveling Radiation Therapist and I stayed in the cute little camper during my contract with Keizer. The camper was comfortable and maintained well. The ranch is a beautiful and quiet place. I took walks almost daily up the hill, so peaceful and relaxing! KJ is a friendly and helpful host. I highly recommend this property if you need a place to quietly relax and enjoy the beautiful Castro Valley area. It is close enough to Keizer that the drive was never a problem. There is shopping and nice restaurants near by. If I get that way again KJ will definitely be my first call to see if she has an available room.

Amazing property and accommodations

This is a jewel of a property, a hidden diamond in the bay area. It is so serene and peaceful and nestled in his own little microclimate Valley near Castro Valley. The house is absolutely gorgeous views, and is furnished amazingly. The owner is very strict with rules, but this helps to keep the place extremely exclusive. This place is extremely sanitary and clean especially the accommodations. If you are a traveling nurse a military person or just somebody who is looking for long term accommodations, I would recommend this place. I would make sure to request an interview with the owner and understand all the rules because they are extremely strict but this helps maintain absolutely good security and operational flow for the property. There are two beautiful horses on site, J and R. They are absolutely the nicest horses and its so fun to walk down and meet with them. If you can afford it, I would definitely recommend renting the beautiful custom apartment above the barn.
