This place to was definitely home away from home for me and my little dog. I could not have found a better place to stay. I was kind of hesitant to rent a room in somebodys home, at this point of my life. The last time a shared a place I was in college. H made me feel so welcome, she treated me and my dog like family. Her two kittens are so much fun to be around. H took care of my dog Lola as if she was hers, and shared her food with. I always had home cooked meals to take to work for lunch. The house is very cozy comfortable and clean. Located in great safe neighborhood near all hospitals, grocery stores and shopping malls. The room had plenty of storage TV and a sparkling clean bathroom and much more. I spent 4 months in this home while working in Fresno. I felt sad when it was time for me to leave the house. I am forever grateful for.H.

Peaceful, Friendly, and Immaculately Maintained

I had the pleasure of living with Harriet for nine months, and it was a wonderful experience. She is incredibly kind, welcoming, and respectful of privacy. She often shared meals, introduced me to her friends, and made me feel truly at home. The house is lovely, very clean, and well maintained, with a cleaning service every other week. My room was comfortable, the bathroom spotless, and there were no bugs thanks to regular pest control. The location is excellent-close to shopping centers, grocery stores, and hospitals-making it very convenient after long workdays. The garden is beautiful, and I loved relaxing outside when I had time. Harriet also provided garage parking, which was a big plus. And her sweet cat, Tallulah, was a joy to have around. Harriet is an organized, thoughtful person, and staying with her was an absolute gift. I only moved because I had to-otherwise, I would have happily stayed longer.

Extraordinary

The house is so beautiful and clean. It is in a very safe neighborhood. Harriet, the host is so caring. She truly wants your stay to be perfect. I was so thankful to have such a wonderful place to live during my mission in Fresno. Thank you again H. You are the best!!!

Perfect Stay!

Theres a reason this property has multiple 5 star reviews, and they arent lying. H is the perfect host, combining friendliness, hospitality, and consideration. She truly goes out of her way to make sure you will be comfortable and rested. After being a travel nurse for a few years Ive stayed plenty of places, and I dont think Ive ever had someone who doesnt also work nights go to the extra lengths that H did to make sure that she didnt interfere with my night shift sleep schedule and to make me feel at home. I have never had someone go out of their way so much to make sure I got uninterrupted sleep during the day- and I slept GREAT which is so rare for a traveling night shifter! She even let me adjust the thermostat cooler than what she normally sets, offered me food whenever she cooked, asked what my schedule was before she made plans etc. House is also immaculate and cozy. Thanks H, Im so grateful for your hospitality and thoughtfulness!

Heaven on Earth (in Fresno!)

I can't say enough good things about H, but I'll try. Smart, witty, generous, accommodating, considerate, excellent conversationalist and listener...truly one of the best people I've ever met. And the house! Fully stocked, spacious, modern, comfy mattress, and the softest sheets and towels. Lovely neighborhood, spacious backyard, garage parking, cable and streaming TV, and well she loves to cook so there is always enough food to share and leftovers she will literally beg you to take to work (lol). She truly loves hosting travelers, and it makes her exceedingly happy to know that she is providing a safe, warm space for us. Must love cats because Izzy is actually in charge here. I would have missed home so much more if not for H. I seriously lucked out, and you will too if you end up here. I didn't expect to make a friend for life, but I did!

Felt at home

Could not have found a better place to stay. This was my first time renting and was a little reluctant to rent a room in someone else's home but H was very welcoming and made me feel at home. She goes above and beyond to make your stay very pleasant. Not to mention she has the sweetest cat! I felt safe and comfortable in the property. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a place to stay!

Warm and Cozy

H is an amazing host!! I felt so welcomed and the room was great. Furniture was so pretty and the bed was very comfortable! The house itself is in a great quiet neighborhood with lots of conveniences nearby. Harriet is welcoming and really goes out of her way to make you feel appreciated. It made a new city feel like home and I am forever grateful for her!

Wonderful property.

This is a wonderful place to stay. Very centrally located and easy to get around. But the best part is the home owner. She is a wonderful woman and goes above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. She is very knowledgable of the area and the coast. Loves to tour guide people around and does a fabulous job at that. She truly cares for the people staying with her. I cannot say enough good things about her. I will be back to stay. She made a harder assignment easier to deal with. If I could give her 10 stars on the site I would. You cannot go wrong staying with H. Love little Izzy her loving kitty. 10 stars from this nurse....

home away from home

This is truly a home away from home. A very cozy, comfortable and clean home in a safe and quiet neighborhood . I spent 3 months in this home while on a work assignment, and I felt so much contented and at home. Truly a place of tranquility after a hard day at work. The landlord is very honest, considerate and professional. The place is kept very clean, warm and pet friendly. I have no doubt in recommending this property. A part of me felt sad when my assignment ended and I had to leave. However I will come back to stay here again if I do get another work assignment in this part of town. The landlord is one of a kind, and the warmth that you feel in the home is real and rare. I love this property and its surrounding

A Gem of a find: Part 1

This place to stay is way more than your ordinary temporary home. If you are looking for a quiet, safe, high end part of town to come back to after work, this is for you. Not only is this location prime for hospitals such as, Clovis Community Hospital, Community Regional Center, St. Agnes, Kaiser, and Valley Children's, it is near several grocery stores and other staple stores (i.e. Target, Shopping mall, restaurants etc). This home is always kept very clean and tidy. The room in which I stayed was the perfect space. I had plenty of storage, a window, a TV, a sparkling clean bathroom & more.

Excellent

Mrs Harriet is the most kind, gracious, and compassionate host! Place was convenient to hospitals and very cozy. I unfortunately had to leave rather abruptly due to health reasons but Mrs Harriet was very gracious and understanding and I am most appreciative and grateful. Highly recommend !

The awesome place to stay !!

I love this place very much. It's in a very safe neighborhood, close to many hospitals in the area, Vons grocery store around the corner. The place is nice and clean. Cleaning lady would come twice a month and clean a room for you. You can use a kitchen in the house and just keep it tidy and clean. Also, Harriet is the best landlord ever!!!. I feel at home with her. She is very kind and generous to me and my dog Cookie. She took us to the coast one day and showed us around. I would also give her a 5 star rating for being a tour guide as well lol. You will enjoy staying here as I do

PERFECT place to stay if working at Children's!

This was a perfect stay in Fresno! SO so so close to Valley Children's, but pretty close to the other hospitals in the area as well! The bedroom with walk in closet is perfect and the newly remodeled bathroom is huge compared to what I'm used to with city living. The backyard is also amazing and I spent a lot of time out there. Harriet even let me park in the garage! Very close to many gyms, grocery stores, food, everything. Takes maybe 5 mins to get to popular River Park. Honestly I cant say enough good things about staying here and you aren't going to find a better spot in Fresno!

Home away from home

My husband and I stayed with Harriet for a couple of months and it was everything we needed. Harriet was so welcoming and friendly which made our temporary living space feel more like a home. We highly recommend this home and wed love to stay there again if we find ourselves in Fresno in the future.
