An excellent place for an extended stay!!!!!

My wife and I stayed in C'S house while my wife worked and extended a travel nursing contract in Portsmouth. We are experienced travelers,having completed 14 contracts so far. We both agree that C'S house was one of our favorites of all the various places that we have stayed. We are not city kind of people and this farmhouse had such an amazing rural, private feel. The house was historic yet well kept and very comfortable. Having so much room in the house and also on the property was nice, and being close enough to my wifes work and "town" was very convenient. Working with C was a great pleasure and while she was hardly ever at the house, we did look forward to the times that she would pop in for a few days. We found her to be so interesting and developed a friendship that we are very thankful for. I would highly recommend this place to stay for anyone temporarily working in the area.

Absolute Awesomeness

This home is full of character and charm. It is located on a large acreage in a quaint neighborhood. I had the opportunity to watch the change of seasons and wildlife. At the kitchen window, witnessed parent birds encouraging their young fledglings to take flight. Among the abundance of experiences is the hostess, Catherine. She is a wealth of local knowledge and connection to the community. This is home has been in her family for generations. Her tender, loving care of this great home on the hill is evident. Came home one day to find sturdy rocking chairs on the porch. Catherine had set them out for sunset watching. It was spectacular show from Mother Nature. Well appointed and complete in every way that I needed. Even the internet was amazing fast. Catherine is a gem and so is her home. Thank you for sharing it, Catherine!!
