The Uptown/ Garden District neighborhoods in New Orleans are renowned for their charm and historical significance. Stately homes, many of which date back to the 19th century, showcasing stunning architecture and a slower, grander age, often surrounded by lush gardens and oak-lined streets. The neighborhood is walkable within access to shops on Magazine and St. Charles.
Wonderful Stay!
Landlord made me feel very welcomed and was communicative and responsive to all my needs. Great location in Uptown (very close to St. Charles and parade routes), and overall a lay backed neighborhood and beautiful property. Apartment space is very roomy and had everything I needed for my 4 month stay.
Great landing pad in New Orleans - excellent historic location
I already miss my time in this historic mansion right on the edge of the Garden District. I set myself up with a work-from-home nook in the bay windows under the eaves of a giant 200-year old live oak overlooking the nearby street corner. 2 minute walk from the Charleston St streetcar, 10 minute walk to some great restaurants and hangouts on Magazine Street. The atmosphere in the neighborhood is so very New Orleans, I liked it so much. Super friendly neighbors, easy access to downtown, off street parking. This was a perfect place to get to know the city. The owner is friendly and responsive and was quick in returning my deposit. Apartment was exactly as it appeared in the photos. Clean and nice-smelling. Easy to recommend.
