This unique living situation is ideal for travelers who want a quiet, comfortable retreat that is very private.Your 400 sq ft room is upstairs, away from shared space. It is more than double the size of a typical bedroom. Within this studio is a living room, sleeping area separated by a half wall, and a kitchenette (no sink). Your private bathroom is downstairs. You share the downstairs kitchen and laundry and you are welcome to shared use of the living room and dining room as well. However, most of our travelers are delighted to have the privacy and ample space this upstairs unit provides.

Must see!

Staying at Ken's home was an absolute delight! Both him and his daughter and their warm hospitality made me feel right at home. I'm a travel nurse working a contract at the state hospital and the commute was quick and easy. The house is spacious, clean, and comfortable, and they were very accommodating to my needs. I would highly recommend their place to anyone visiting the area.

Clean and friendly home

Great stay!

Kens place is a wonderful place to stay. The room looks just like the pictures. It is so spacious and has everything you need. Ken and his daughter were very nice and welcoming. I would highly recommend staying here!

Perfect room, lots of storage

This has been a perfect rental! host and daughter are incredibly sweet, quiet, and respectful. A very safe space, LOTS of storage in closets, cabinets, benches,, and even a shed for your a bike if needed . Lots of natural light (blackout curtains if you need it dark) and the furnishing are in perfect shape. K stays on top of any needed/requested maintenance and receptive if you need any help.

Excellent stay

Ken and his daughter are amazing hosts - very friendly and respectful of personal space. The upstairs space had everything I needed to relax after a long day (comfy couch, TV, comfy bed, black out curtains). The downstairs kitchen had everything I needed to cook and the upstairs mini fridge and microwave made storing and heating up leftovers very convenient. If a shower with good water pressure is important to you, this is the shower for you. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking to live comfortably for a few months

Favorite Stay

I highly reccomend Shae Rooms. Here you have the safety and security of living in a home while still maintaining privacy in your own cozy little space. The home owner and his daughter are quiet and respectful. The unit has lots of storage. With my instant pot and hot plate, I prepare/cook most meals in the kitchenette while also having access to the full kitchen downstairs. Black out curtains provide restful sleep for night shifters. I've been traveling for a few years and this is by far my favorite home away from away!
