Perfect Stay at Espie and Matts Cottage: Comfort, Hospitality, and Convenience

I stayed at Espie and Matt's cottage for 7 months and had an amazing experience. They were incredibly hospitable, offering a bike, helmet, fresh fruit, eggs, and anything else I needed in a pinch. The cottage is well-equipped with plenty of storage, outlets, and TV with all the apps. The AC is strong and perfectly positioned across the bed for comfort. Lanikai Beach is just a 5-minute walk away and Kailua Beach is a 10-minute bike ride. I recommend renting or buying a car, electric bike or moped if you plan to stay long term. While I am in the best shape of my life, for convenience, you will thank yourself for having a vehicle. Espie and Matt made the cottage a home away from homewhen I missed the bus and couldn't bike, Matt kindly gave me a ride to Kailua town. And when I was scared of a bug, Espie came to my rescue LOL! This cottage has everything you need and more, making it a fantastic place to stay short term or long. Mahalo E & M!

Home away from home!

This Ohana is such a gem, I was sad to leave! E and M are phenomenal hosts and forever friends, from making sure I felt at home (and well stocked with mangoes from their beautiful mango tree), to always asking if I needed anything! This Ohana is spacious, comfortable, and full of wonderful Oahu sunlight! It is perfectly situated near some of the most beautiful beaches, i.e Lanikai. And the sunrises were absolutely breathtaking. I worked in Honolulu while living here, and the ride was quick and painless! If you prefer to be close to beaches and hikes, living in a quiet neighborhood, sitting out on the lanai in the mornings enjoying coffee, a morning breeze, and the sounds of birds in the morning, this is just the place for you! Felt like home!

Spacious, clean, cozy, modern! I loved living here for four months. The neighborhood is quiet and neighbors are friendly. Everything you could need- AC, full kitchen, laundry, parking. The property owners are incredibly kind and responsive. Cant beat living footsteps away from the beautiful Lanikai beach. I would absolutely stay again!

Work From Home Haven

I am a work from home professional and this was an amazing place to be based out of allowing me to work during the days and explore Hawaii in my free time. Lanikai is a very quiet neighborhood with a single road in and out so it provides a lot of privacy. The 5 minute walk to the beach was amazing for the morning sunrises. E and her family are very kind and take care of you while you stay there. The place itself is a well-designed studio with plenty of storage, small kitchen and small bathroom. The added washer and dryer is a big plus. There is a small Lanai with a table and chairs for your morning coffee or read. Overall a wonderful place

Short Walk to Sand and Sun

I took a travel nurse assignment and stayed here. This is a beautiful cozy studio less than 700 steps to the nearest beach egress (my dad counted!). Cozy decorations and lots of storage space. Espie and her family are very welcoming and knowledgeable about the island and local activities. Located in a quiet neighborhood its perfect for quiet nights and early beach days. Espie was kind enough to loan me beach chairs, floaties, beach towels, and a bike to get to nearby Lanikai beach (less than a mile or so). Also close to PillBox hike, amazing to see sunrise over the Mokes. Quick response time.
