Great Landlady, Not a good place to stay

The kitchen is a MESS. This was the case the ENTIRE time I was there. I tried to clean up some, but then the landlady would use it and leave it in really bad condition. By this I mean there crumbs all over, dirty paper towels, oil stains, fruit flies, food left out, dirty dishes, etc. I used the kitchen as little as possible. She does not pay for the city to pick up her trash. So, I had to find ways to dispose of my own trash. One of the things that I contributed to the dirtiness is that she composts in one of the kitchen sinks. I hated this. There were bugs everywhere. EVERYWHERE. The refrigerator broke and for 10 days or so, there was not a fridge in the house. I had to throw all my perishable foods away. She left the house doors wide open some nights (all night long) to save on the air conditioning bill. I did not get any warning the first night this happened. The landlady is nice and she does try, but this was not a good place to live. The room I stayed in was fine, thus 2 stars.

Host very nice

D is very nice. The house is located in a nice neighborhood with a nice running trail. It is <15-minute drive from UVA hospital garage and also located close to a large shopping center. Minimal traffic through the neighborhood and is very quiet during the day. Room stayed pretty dark during the day (night shift worker). D was always very helpful and very accommodating.

Great location!

The house is in a perfect location, very easy to get around - UVA, downtown, grocery, shopping, and Monticello. The house is also near a very nice park - perfect for walking/jogging! This house is great, very clean and has everything you need. Debbie was also very helpful since the beginning, available at all times whenever I had any questions. She's also very knowledgeable on any topic! I miss the conversations we had. I definitely recommend this place.

Central

I enjoyed my stay here! It is perfect for the price! Located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. The house is beautiful, very spacious, clean and bright. The room that I occupied was comfortable and equip with black out curtains (perfect for night shift workers!) Central to... everything! Its right off the highway, 2 miles from grocery stores and restaurants, and about 10 minutes from UVA and the transitional care unit! And Ms. Debby is a wonderful host! she is kind and full of knowledge ( you may possibly be able to get a free lesson in creating excel spread sheet!) This is the perfect stay!

Great Location and Owner

Debby is a great host with a lovely home in a safe neighborhood conveniently located near Interstate 64, the city, and shopping, the University, and hospital. You cannot do any better!
