We are located at the end of a private road, so there is very little traffic noise. The park offers a great place to take a daily walk, shoot baskets, go for a swim, or paddleboard, among other activities.

A sanctuary Indeed!
Gail has a lovely home and a generous spirit. All the amenities one would need for a short or longer stay. I was only here 2 months while working at UW East Madison, but would recommend her home and hospitality to anyone. I was made to feel very welcomed and the home is cozy and comfortable. It was truly a home away from home!

WONDERFUL
I cannot tell you how wonderful my stay has been here at the Sunshine Sanctuary.This was my first time renting a private room from a private landlord..2I was honestly a bit nervous. Now I have 3 new friends for LIFE!!!! My room is great, the views are incredible, park to walk in literally right out the side door. On Lake Mendota... I'm a Medical Technologist and work nights - 7 on, 7 off. EVERYONE in the house was very considerate of my weird work schedule. I cannot thank my landlady and my 2 "roomies" for everything in this little review. ******************** 20 STAR RATING
