Lovely, charming unit
I rented this unit for about a year and absolutely loved living here. The owner is extremely friendly and generous--if anything goes wrong, or if you need an extra something, she is quick to respond and will do her best to get you what you need as soon as possible. The folks upstairs are very friendly and do a fantastic job maintaining the yard area. The unit was stocked with lots of towels and bedding materials, so combined with a few things of my own, it was enough to host four or five people overnight. The bedroom is very spacious, and although the kitchen is not huge, it packs a lot for its space and works well for those who cook frequently (as I do). Because it is a basement unit, it stays considerably cool in the summer months. Sunlight is of course limited, but the large windows in the living room get sunlight, and the bathroom is very well lit during the day. The unit has all the charm of an old home with hardly any of the usual drawbacks with old homes.
Beautiful, nicely furnished apt
I rented this apartment for 1 year. It's a basement apartment but gets a decent amount of natural light through the door in the living room, windows in bathrooms, and windows in bedroom. There are some really nice and thoughtful amenities like the bathtub, newer washer/dryer in unit, water purifier in the hallway, and porch area with table and grill. The place is fully stocked with kitchen utensils and prior tenants will leave laundry detergent/cleaning supplies/etc. which makes the move-in so much easier (and affordable!). The upstairs neighbors are incredibly nice and helpful. There are a couple bus lines that run nearby and downtown is only a little over a mile away. If there were any issues or questions, the owner was very responsive and kind. Overall a great option for someone staying in Salt Lake City temporarily for whom buying or moving furniture isn't worthwhile.
Has everything you need
I stayed at this property recently. The owner is really nice and an honest person. The property is located in a really safe part of town minutes from the center of the city (5 minutes by car). If you walk up I street which is steep and a good warmup, you can get to Bonneville Trail system, which has many hiking and biking trails. Go south and there is Liberty Park which has a paved trail for running. There is a really close by Whole Foods and Sprouts also. The apartment has a gas stove which was really nice and a cast iron pan, every kitchen utensil you could think of for cooking, even a French Press. Its an antique place but well set up with modern conveniences. I found it cozy and an enjoyable stay. Anything you need and the owner will find a way to accommodate it.
