Nice place, convenient location

Stayed here over the summer, the location was super convenient for me. I was working in Seattle downtown and I could be there in around 25 minutes from the second I stepped out of the door. Theres a nice park across the street too if you want to take a stroll after work or something. For the price that Greg charges, I dont think I could have asked for anything more. The mattresses were comfortable and the house was clean when we moved in as well. The fridge is a little small but it is workable. It is a basement unit but if you keep the place clean and take out the trash you shouldnt have any bug issues. I never saw any roaches over the course of my 2 month stay. Greg was pretty communicative with us as well, i remember we had some issues with the fridge temperature but he helped us figure it out that very day. TLDR is if youre a young person looking for a cheaper place with close proximity to downtown thats still livable and in a decent area, this is the place for you.

Great, cozy place to stay close to downtown

Highlights include the interior decor which creates a cozy atmosphere with a cabin-style master bedroom and kitchen/dining room and a more modern living room and second bedroom. The house is on a hillside so the unit is sort of a basement with high windows, which meant it was able to keep cool very well during the summer and we were happy with how much light still came in. The only downsides for the interior would be that the fridge didn't seem to be able to cool evenly, there was no way to lock the master bedroom sliding door, and there was only one small bathroom for the whole unit. The location is excellent with bus stops right in front of the house to take you downtown, a nice little park across the street with a playground and grass area, and being within walking distance of Lake Washington. The neighborhood is safe albeit pretty quiet at night. Greg is also great with communication, very flexible, and helped return some items I accidentally left in the unit after our stay.

Convenient apartment close to downtown

This apartment is comfortable and convenient. The full-size laundry and the spacious living room and kitchen, separate from the bedrooms, make it feel like a true apartment rather than a simple basement room. Its on a main street with easy bus access, yet it stayed quiet and felt safe for me as a solo female traveler. The host was accommodating and quick to respond. Id stay again.

Ive been renting from Greg for the past several summers, and have always had a positive experience. Hes always communicated well and Ive never had any issues getting back my full deposit. I loved living here because of the location (you can get anywhere in the city via lime bike), price, and PARKING. All of those factors are a huge reason I keep coming back to rent from him.

My contract was canceled due to work place injury. I notified him the day of cancelation. He told me 5 days later hes keeping my deposit because I didnt provide a 20 day notice. The owner didn't provide this stipulations in the lease contract and now wants to keep $950 of $2000 deposit. Also, the rental wasn't clean when I moved in. He had been living there until the morning I moved in. I have lots of pictures of the unclean rental. My bluetooth detector for hidden cameras went off in the main bedroom. I covered the mirror. Also, had an ant infestation problem. They were crawling in the bed my chid slept in. It has a musty dank order that stays in your clothes. The place has no cable. One heater in the kitchen/living room works, if you turn on the bathroom heater it trips the breaker. Stains on the couches. Plenty of pictures of this cabin if needed. The tenants upstairs constantly work me up at night playing video games, washing clothes, and having tv volume up loud.
