Sellwood Neighborhood has a quaint little village feel to it. It is great for walking, biking, has good transportation options and is close everything in Portland. We have good restaurants, food carts, coffee shops, grocery store, library, wine bar and pubs all at your finger tips. It is very quiet and safe neighborhood with the lovely Sellwood Park and the river a few blocks away.
1 year stay
Pat and Catherine are some of the best landlords and hosts that I could have asked for! I moved into the tiny home in August 2023 and the tiny home looked even better in-person than through the pictures. I appreciated that many things were already included like kitchenware and bedding and the place definitely became my home away from home during a very busy year. Pat and Catherine were always super responsive if any issues came up and even made sure I had a place to go in case I didn't have holiday plans. The home is situated perfectly in an area with walkable access to public transport and biking routes as well as hidden food cart/restaurant gems. My year in in the cozy tiny home will remain one of my most treasured memories and the place is truly such a perfect fit for one person. Highly recommend!
Sanctuary in Sellwood!
P and C are some of the nicest people I have met in a long time and it was an amazing opportunity to meet and live in their cozy studio. The studio is exactly what any medical professional could ask for; It's clean, cute, fully stocked, and has every amenity that you could ask for. They were flexible with my contract due to my recent graduation from my graduate program as well as quick to respond with any questions. The neighborhood is safe, gorgeous, walkable, and trendy! I took the 99 bus and the aerial tram straight to OHSU in under 30 minutes. If I could have stayed longer, I would have! If you need a place to stay in Sellwood, and this place isn't booked out, you should book it ASAP! The care that they put into your experience is evident and worth every second you will spend there. Thanks again, P and C!
Felt like home!
A wonderful property and a gem in the lovely Sellwood neighborhood. Appliances were fantastic, especially the in-unit washer/dryer. The AC came in handy just in time for warmer weather in Portland. P and C were very helpful and always available. The neighborhood felt safe and comfortable, also very walkable. The property itself was made with good care and felt like a home. Would highly recommend staying here!
Excellent Stay
I worked as a travel mammographer at OHSU, and I cannot stress how positive of an experience I had. The Location- This one of my favorite neighborhoods in Portland. It has a peaceful neighborhood vibe with many cute restaurants, coffee shops, and parks within walking distance. The commute was an absolute breeze as well. This tiny home is conveniently located near two bus routes: line 99 (goes straight to the OHSU campus) and line 70 (takes you up to many popular Portland strips). The Home- It is GORGEOUS- looks just like the pics. It is surprisingly spacious and equipped with everything I needed. I fell in love with this little home, and I have full intentions of coming back pending availability. The Lovely Hosts- They are amazing people, strong communicators, and I got the impression they truly cared about me. Due to weather, I was unable to go home for Christmas, but the hosts brought me dinner and offered to let me stay until it was safe to travel. Truly incredible people :)
Stole Money
Horrible people. I had to leave for an emergency and they not only started cleaning my place and flipping it early. They told me I was unable to come back to clean it up even though I had the place rented out for a longer time. I was accused of things that never happened. They were unwilling to work with me or act professional at all. I had paid rent for the next month early and went asked for a refund since they had already started cleaning and flipping the residence for another renter they told me go hire an attorney on this issue. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Best little tiny home in the best location!
I am a travel nurse that turned permanent at OHSU for a few years before leaving Portland. I lived in this tiny home for two years while in Portland and I honestly can't say enough good things about it. This place is a little oasis, super quiet (even if you work night shift) the neighborhood in general is very peaceful, beautiful interior and you get to look out at the owner's AMAZING backyard. There is a super cute little patio that is fenced off for privacy. In addition, pretty much everything is walkable. There is a grocery store about 3 blocks away. The downtown Sellwood area is also about 4 or 5 blocks away. There are multiple riverside parks about a half mile away that are great for running, biking or just hanging out. The owners are the actual best, very accommodating and quick to respond if there are any issues. As far as location goes, you can't really go wrong - OHSU is only a 10 min drive and maybe 15 to most other hospitals in pdx. Highly, highly recommend staying here!!!
