A beautiful home

The house is very beautiful, and Casey is an excellent host. I felt right at home. It's in a safe neighborhood and close to many shops. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves peace and is looking for a place to call a home away from home.

My Year Long Stay in Oakland

My stay here was very pleasant! I wanted a place very close to my facility and this location was perfect. I felt safe in this location, neighbors were very nice as well. The parking can be an issue some days. Casey definitely tries to go out of her way to make it easier but some days it is what it is. If you have any concerns Casey is more than willing to hear you out and address your concerns. I would stay here again.

Awesome Place! Awesome Landord!

I just have to say that I was so very lucky to have found this property and landlord!! First off I had my reservations about everything when I landed in Oakland. I was a first time traveler and everything was pretty overwhelming and scary. I stayed in a hotel for the first couple of weeks of my contract, however I was looking for something more permanent and safe for the duration of my stay. All I can say is out of all the places I looked at, this place stood out! The price was very reasonable and well below some of the other properties that I saw which werent as nice & cozy as this place! Upon meeting C and touring the house, I immediately felt comfort and peace and knew right away that this was my landing place. The house is immaculate and the neighborhood was very quiet and I always felt safe. C is honestly the easiest person to room with. She is very considerate and always made sure I felt comfortable during my stay. I would hands down recommend this property to anyone!

You DEFINITELY want to stay here!

First, lets address top concerns: I always felt safe in this neighborhood and the location is perfect to easily access a LOT of local hospitals and restaurants! As for the room and shared living space: The room was large, inviting, and comfortable. Cs house always smells wonderful, but she also let me use her essential oils and so my room always smelled especially amazing! The shared spaces are immaculate and designed like a spa. There are a few rules to follow to ensure there isnt chaos in a shared living environment, but they are easy to do and improves everyones stay there! C is an AMAZING host! I extended my contract and she was so flexible! She worked with me and I got to stay the extra time. C always made sure I had everything I needed, hosted dinners for tenants to meet and hang (if you want to), and even organized local outings with us! I still keep in touch with C and I count her as a friend for life. All because I had the good fortune to find her here on FF.

Oakland stay

C is a great host. very accommodating and welcoming to her tenants . She takes time to get to know her tenants and find out what their needs are. She is also a really great cook that makes sure her tenants are fed and eat. Highly recommend staying at her place.

Uncomfortable Stay with Overbearing Landlord

To those who are planning to stay here, please beware of her strict and outrageous trash policy. After about a week of renting a room here, C the owner started going through my trash bags and accusing me of not properly separating recyclables from landfill trash. After I failed to meet her recycling demands on several occasions she informed me that she is taking my parking spot away from me. We got into an argument and I had to move out prematurely as she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. On numerous occasions she would tell me I am threatening her and that was simply not true! She made me feel harassed and embarrassed that I am a man. Being fair to everyone, there are always two sides to every story and I am sure I am not perfect, C will keep proving your wrongdoing until she is satisfied. Please beware!

6 month stay

I was looking for an accommodation closer to where my employer was. I checked a couple other properties but did not find them according to my expectations, until I saw this room. This was pretty clean and well maintained. I was glad to see the owner C, who I found to be very friendly and she made sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. Besides being a tenant, she was gracious enough to make pancakes and vegetarian dishes. I would recommend this room to anyone wishing to stay in or around the area and they would have the best rental experience.

C is fabulous, genuine and endearing hostess. Her home is absolutely beautiful. Clean, well tended too, and peaceful. The atmosphere is of good vibes, and growth. Please, look into staying. Close to a major bus line. And shops, as well.

Best room I have ever rented

Sadly my contract was not longer I would have loved to have stayed here longer. The house is immaculate and for quite for day or night shift nurses I had no problem resting during the day. C was such a great host. The bed is super comfortable and plenty of storage for any stuff you have internet is fast. I hope to get more contracts in the area so I can stay here again. Would recommend this place to anyone hands down best place I have stayed at over my years as a travel nurse.

Rare Find

C and her cozy home are a rare find. First, shes just a wonderful human. Second, she has the most ease with all guests, and she offers a truly relaxed shared living space. Shes uber flexible and transparent. As a traveling RN for 6 years, Im no stranger to co-living spaces. C's is the most authentic and comfortable stay yet. I will be calling on C with the next assignment I am on in the SF Bay. As a side note, C's home is a short 15-min walk to a major Oakland bus stop!

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover

House is very clean, with a cleaner that comes every 2 weeks. The appliances are all Brand-new. The host is a certified chef, and if ur nice she might share ! The living room TV has got all the streaming services! Kaiser, Highland, and Sutter hospitals are all within 10-20 minutes of this spot. And if you do the COVID relief at the Coliseum its 7min away. This is a PERFECT spot for any travel nurse working in Oakland.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful home!

Casey's home was absolutely perfect for my stay in Oakland during a very challenging COVID19 crisis contract. It was about a 12-15 minute drive to Kaiser Oakland everyday. The house is completely remodelled and is always spotless. Casey is a wonderful host always looking out for your needs and making sure you are comfortable. She is also an amazing vegan cook who would often share her delicious meals/treats with those in the house. My room was cozy and perfect for what I needed to relax after a long day. The other rooms are often rented to fellow travel healthcare workers and it was an amazing opportunity to meet cool new people!

the BEST short term rental in Oakland

This was one of my favorite short term rentals to this day. Casey is the best landlord and she made this stay so welcoming and really made it feel like home. I would highly recommend this short term rental to anyone looking to stay in the Oakland area. This home was BEAUTIFUL!

Home Sweet California Home

This property felt like a home away from home. The home is beautiful, clean, health conscious, and spacious. The owner is kind, respectful, and very accommodating. The location is excellent being close to both the highway, San Francisco, San Leandro, and Napa. Most things are within 15-20 minutes commute. I truly couldnt imagine a better experience in the Bay area and I have been living intermittently in Oakland/San Francisco area since 2016. Thank you so much Casey, for giving me a home sweet California home. I'll definitely inquire about availability the next time I am in the area.
