A peaceful and homy welcome to Monterey

I stayed with Betka for a month while relocating to Monterey, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely view of the bay, a private bathroom, dresser, TV, closet, and a small desk — everything you need to feel at home. The internet was fast and reliable. Street parking was always easy to find. What made this stay truly special was Betka herself. As someone brand new to Monterey who barely knew anyone, her kindness meant the world to me. She shared tips and recommendations about the area, helping me find my footing in a new city. Most evenings I'd skip the TV in my room entirely just to sit with her and enjoy her company . I left feeling genuinely grateful to have stayed with her, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, welcoming space in Monterey. You won't just find a great room — you might just make a wonderful friend.

Seaside Stay

I stayed at Betka's listing for just over 3 months and it was perfect! Comfortable bed, quiet, ensuite bathroom. Easy parking, beautiful view of the ocean from the bedroom. Accessible to both Marina and Monterey. Thanks again!

Perfect!

Stayed here for 6 months and had a great time! It was close to work and also close to many cool areas such as parks, restaurants and hikes. The area is very safe and Betka is an awesome roommate! One of the best travel experiences Ive had :)

Great Room

First off, B is a great landlord and is very accommodating. Close to shopping, restaurants, and CHOMP. I work night shift and had no issues sleeping during the day here. I would definitely rent from her again if back in the area. Came in as a tenant and feel like I am leaving as a friend.

Seaside retreat

B's home is warm and cozy and she herself is welcoming and easygoing. The room fit all the needs of a short stay. She was also able to give several recommendations of places to eat and things to do. Monterey is one of the most peaceful places Ive been and has so much to do outdoors. If anything came up she was quick to take care of it. Definitely a place Id return if I ever find myself back in Monterey.

Betkas Place

This was such a lovely stay! B is very welcoming and keeps a really nice and comfortable home. She is easy-going and accommodating, and made me feel at home right away and gave me so many good recommendations for the area - I liked my stay so much, I ended up extending another three months in the area! The room is clean, bright, and cozy. Having an en suite bathroom and a balcony that looks out over the bay makes this home such an amazing rare find! Not to mention B's pretty gardens that seem to never stop blooming, her two sweet cats, and all the artwork in her home. The location is just far enough from Monterey to avoid some of the pricier and congested parts of the area, but still close enough to easily drive back and forth from CHOMP, downtown Alvarado st, PG, Carmel, and anywhere else you could want to go. And my favorite part - less than 10min from the ocean! I would recommend this stay to any traveler :)

Amazing property

Betkas place is amazing and honestly undervalued. The location is very convenient to Monterey, Marina, and Carmel. Its also very accessible to Highway 68 for a 30 minute commute to Salinas. Betka is very easy going and kind. She made me feel very welcome. Her space had everything that I needed. Would stay with her again any day.

Seaside

This place is a true gem! The bedroom and private bathroom was clean, quiet, small deck with view of Monterey Bay and large closet with an abundance of hangers. Everything I needed was there. The front garden was magical with an assortment of beautiful flowering bushes and trees and there is a back yard that is private. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking and eating essentials and a great washer and dryer. The owner is very helpful with directions and places to see and easy going. Seaside is close to Monterey, Carmel, Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row. It's also a very quiet and safe neighborhood. I will for sure stay here again!

Ocean Views

Betka is very kind, welcoming, and accommodating. I felt right at home immediately and couldn't have asked for a better roommate. The room is quiet, peaceful, and has an awesome view of the ocean. The bed is comfortable and bathroom was perfect for my needs. I would recommend this rental to any traveler.
