Beautiful Historic Home in Nice Area

Highly recommend this home for a short term or long-term stay. I lived in Carin's property for just shy of one year while completing a residency program and was so grateful to have such a cozy and comforting space to return to after long shifts. The apartment is beautifully decorated and comes with all the essentials you could need for your stay. It was also nice to have available storage space in empty closets. Carin provided window AC units for the summer, which provided adequate cooling during the warmer months. The neighborhood always felt safe, and parking was always available. Carin was always easy to communicate with and very responsive to the few needs that popped up during my stay. When I accidentally locked myself out of the property, she went out of her way to have her dad quickly come to my rescue given that she was out of town. If you are looking for a cozy and quiet space to call home during your work travels, don't hesitate choosing Carin's property!

Everything I needed and more!

The space was exactly as pictured and described, I felt safe coming and going during the early hours and late nights. The bedroom was cozy, the living space was perfect to sit and relax after a long shift, the private entrance and in building washer and dryer were perfect if you didn't want to interact with anyone on your days off, and the kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, seasonings, and flatware (if you've experienced the long term rentals that have no cookware to cook the bare minimum for your stay, you know how clutch this is). The best part? Carin. She took time to call me prior to my stay to answer any questions. I mentioned off handedly that my dad was driving across the country with me and might need to stay the night before his flight back home. I told her I would be fine sleeping on the couch for one night, but no. On arrival, Carin had a brand new air mattress in unit for just the one night I would need to use it! Top tier person, top tier service.

Poor experience, unclean unit, unfair charges

The unit was dirty at move-in with dust, debris, and food under the rug. The stove and pantry were not cleaned. No AC was provided; I waited over a week for a portable unit. The landlord placed it on a cheap coffee table that couldnt support its weight. It broke because of her setup, yet she charged me for it and never replaced the AC. Bugs were found throughout the entire unit, and some entered through the vent. Additionally, ants appeared near the kitchen window. Mold persisted in the bathroom, and water leaked into the kitchen wall. I was rarely home, yet I was charged a $375 cleaning fee and had my deposit unfairly reduced after waiting over a month. Poorly maintained unit and unprofessional landlord. Avoid renting here.
