**Outstanding Stay – Highly Recommend**

I had a wonderful experience staying at this Furnished Finder property. The space is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and fully equipped with everything you could need. It is completely private and separate from the main home, providing a quiet and comfortable retreat. The property is also safe and gated, which gave me great peace of mind. The location is excellent—just a few blocks from downtown Wilmington, NC, with easy access to restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The beach is only a 15–20 minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy both city life and the coast. Most importantly, Jane, the property owner, is an incredible landlord. She is kind, responsive, professional, and genuinely cares about her tenants’ comfort and experience. From the moment I arrived, she made sure everything was perfect and was always available if I needed anything. Her attention to detail and hospitality truly set this property apart.

Security deposit scam

Landlord states her room is the cheapest and nicest one on FF in Wilmington area and she gets a lot of requests to book. Only accepts paper checks. States she doesn't use any online paying platforms. Know, security deposit will be refunded only if place in pristine condition from what she shared. Jane asked me to write her a $350 check as a security deposit. Lease was signed to start two and a half months ahead for $675 a month. $350 was noted to be refunded back to me at the end of the lease. It was NOT a holding deposit. In 2 weeks, I found a better room, more affordable and with in-unit laundry. I notified Jane and asked for my security deposit back. She stated she is not going to return my money. She didn't incur any financial losses. Bank denied check refund, because it's not credit card or electronic transaction and I am stuck with $350 loss. I want everyone else be aware of her practices. If you write her any checks, you will NOT see your money back.
