Poor management

My best friend and fellow RN moved here 10/2021. The home was not properly cleaned and dog toys, mouse poop and other items were found upon moving in. Management was notified. The home is beautiful on the inside , but its lipstick on a pig. We had many issues with appliances / furniture and during the winter months our pipes continuously would freeze, even with proper precautions. We showered at the gym and bought bottled water to cook. Management did replace the appliances and furniture which was appreciated. We moved out and made sure to thoroughly clean prior to leaving. They took $620 out of the deposit to shampoo carpets and do a thorough clean. We expressed how this was taking advantage as we have been travel RNs for 5 years and never had such a hefty cleaning bill, especially in the condition we found it and how we left it. They chose to stand by their cleaning practices. Bottom line- if you move here be prepared to pay your own utilities , have mice ( we reported it numerous times) have your pipes freeze in the winter and have $620 cleaning fee. Important to note- We tried renting a property from this property manager ( the woman who manages Gervons homes) in June 2021 and after the deposit was sent and arrangements were made , they pulled out and stated the owners decided they wanted to stay in the house last minute. This left us having to get a hotel for a month while finding housing. Spacious , nicely decorated home, but just know what youre getting yourself into.
